FYI: From ScorpiusRisk

"I'm having a little trouble with Enworld where I am physically, so I hope someone might post this message for me on the boards.

I thought I would be back no later than last Sunday and that's clearly not the case. My job, while generally allowing for lots of downtime, falls into Higher Education. The start of September is always my busiest time. Now, I've found myself in the middle of a deployment, responsible for things I'm not generally responsible for. If the deployment goes well, I may catch up on the boards on by Monday. Otherwise, it will likely be another week.

I apologize and wish I could have predicted this situation.

Scorpius"

As you may know, an article appeared in Wizard's page with the updates to Essentials rules. When talking about LEB, are those considered errata (and thus come into effect immediately) or part of new rules, and therefore have the 1 month waiting period?

Errata are applied now I think...

PHB1 races now have one primary ability boost and a choice of secondary, like PHB3 races...

Interesting. I hadn't seen that yet. The text on the download page seems to imply that these changes will be included in the next errata release, but since this is already here, they may opt not to. It definitely looks like errata material either way, so I would think it would be effective immediately for our purposes.

Crud, I was almost done remaking Pok's sheet, and now it's all wrong.

It seems like almost everything changes in some small way... except visions of avarice, which was completely redone...

maybe I should have waited an extra month or two for this to blow over before starting the sheet...

meh.

On the upside more variety in character creation, every class gets a "choice of two" now, except humans, who got the new racial.

Yea. I'm glad for the choice of bonuses. It makes for more diversity, which just adds a nicer feel to the whole thing.

Well, it's not an official update yet, but once it gets put into the Update (likely Oct. 5th) I would think we'd treat it as errata.

"These changes will be incorporated into the rules update documents and the digital tools in the near future."
