Ah, what a deliciously absurd episode. So you've got this castle that combines all the gender equality of Gor with a bunch of bad poetry. And oh yeah, magic don't work. I can't think of anything that would be more contrived and mismatched for Cara. Which is why the episode was so entertaining. Then there was the amusing subplots of the fat princess and the chancellor falling for Zedd's trap. lulz.

There were some serious moments after all, and I think the mix of farce and seriousness were carried off well in this one.

Richard and Kahlan need to retire to one of these castles one day.

There really are too many things in the world that can nullify a confessor's power. It really makes the whole "we can't be together because my powers would destroy you!" thing a lot less tragic. I'm thinking they should have just let Kahlan and Richard get together at the end of the first series like it happened in the book. That was a much more poetic way to hook up, IMO, than all of the magical suppressants they're coming across.

Yeah, it's definitely feeling more and more like "we can't be together in a place where the weather is too humid." Um, ok, you can do something about that, y'know.

I like UST in a TV show, but it's starting to not feel much like tension here. It seems like Richard and Kahlan have become accustomed to the situation and have settled on platonic love.

I don't want them to make a big deal out of it because that might get old fast, but it would be nice if they made some sort of deal out of it. And if they didn't keep ignoring all of these opportunities. :p
