No, because they do not know if the show will be popular, nor if the game will be any good. Hundreds of games get abandoned before they get close to the stage of being announced. Announcing something then cancelling it generates a shedload of negative publicity, no matter how crap the game was shaping up to be, so ideally you want to avoid an announcement until you are ready to start your marketing push.If they were in the process of making a game, then it would make sense to announce it along with the show
I do feel like the way they intentionally leave the story wide open at the end means they plan on doing something with it. There is no way this is a one-off spin-off.
