Leif's Homebrew 4E D&D Game, nee 'Leif's Keep on the Shadowfell' [IC #1] [FULL]

Sister Linora

The 'priestess' answers Elerosse, "I see! Hmm, that is something that I had never considered, that there may be an agent of evil within Winterhaven itself! Very troubling! But, I am supremely confident that Lord Padraig and his advisors are NOT any of such. I would recommend that you take him into your complete confidence, as he can only be of help to you in this endeavor."

[sblock=OOC]'Skipping ahead' has apparently been delayed by Elerosse's thoughtful discussion with Sister Linora.[/sblock]

Elerosse

"Sister, please lead the way to Lord Paidrig. We need to keep this information as quiet as possible so the traitor does not learn of our knowledge."

OOC: Seems I misguessed the direction we were intended to take.

Sister Linora

"Lord Padraig's manor is easy enough to find, but, in the interests of aiding all that I am able, I will accompany you there straightaway. I was already on my way out, so I am ready to go now, and, if you gentlemen would like, we can go this minute!"

Lord Padraig's Manor

Sister Linora leads the party to the Manor House, and knocks on a side door. The servant who answers knows her, and whisks you straightaway to a sitting room. "I'll just go and fetch Lord Padraig immediately. Make yourselves comfortable." There is a decanter of spirits on a side table, and an assortment of small, dainty glasses.

Lord Padraig arrives shortly. "Ahh, Sister Linora, and ... gentlemen," he says nodding to all of you. "To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure, and how may I be of service to you?"

Yes, and she is suitably disturbed. You get the feeling that she is not, um, on as good of terms with her deities as Aodhan is..... she is probably not even a cleric by class, but some sort of lay priestess.

Ha! Nice to see some cross-system/game stuff popping up ;)[/sblock]

"We have some information about the kobolds threatening your town, actually we killed a bunch of them nearby, amazing waterfall you got around here. Anyways, we found a note on one of the big fellas inside. These names mean anything to you?" Khellek asks as he hands the note to the Lord.

"Oh, you hear anything about trouble outside of kobolds? Anyone go missing or anything like that?" the shifter asks, knowing evil cultists always kidnap people ;)

Aimhirghin's eyes widen slightly at his friend's enthusiastic outpouring of information; he glances sideways at Khellek, the corner of his mouth turned upward in a slight smile.

Well, nothing like getting right to the point I suppose.

"Actually, there is something that you lads can do for me much like what you suggest, Sir Shifter. A recent visitor to Winterhaven, Douven Stahl, has disappeared, and not been seen for some time. He is an archaeologist, of sorts, and was looking for an ancient dragon burial site not far from here. Perhaps he is just out digging more, or perhaps he has met with foul play of some sort. I would appreciate it very much if you would look into the matter for me, but, I'm afraid that I cannot offer you much in the way of pay for this service, at least not much gold. I'm sure that the merchants of Winterhaven and myself would be very grateful to you, though....."

(Lord Padraig gives you detailed directions to the place he thinks Douven Stahl was interested in.)
