The colors and general devices of his pennant suggest that he is of a lesser noble family of Ket, just over the Lortmil Mountains and north of the Bramblewood Forest. (The pass through the Lortmils along one branch of the Fals River that leads to Ket is just about where you are now, or perhaps a bit to your southwest by now.)

"First I ask this question, Are you sure of where you are?"

Yurei listens to the conversation and takes out his compass and checks that he is properly oriented himself.

"I, uh, think so, maybe not? Why do you ask?"

OOC: Yepper, Yurei is where he thought he'uz at.

Johann draws a rough map in the dirt of the Lortmil range, bramblewood forest and falls river and an "X" where Ket is, then draws the barrier peaks and tusman hills. he places the end of the stick to the approximate area the Knight thinks he is at.
"You say you are here, right?"
<<if answer is the affirmative .. .. ..>>

He shakes his head and says, "I am sorry but we are here. The falls river is, " he looks to Yuri for confirmation," about here. That is why there are no familiar land marks." He has an apologetic look on his face.

Sir Pavel Hikaru

"Oh, dear me! But I was sure ... I wonder what could have happened? Maybe, um, I, well, I don't have a clear memory of the past few days. Maybe something dreadful has happened to me?"

Hraln leans over to whisper to Yurei, "I can detect traces of sorcery, but I am not much able to tell an abjuration from an evocation or any such thing. Perhaps you could tell whether he has had an enchantment laid on him? If he do, mayhaps one of us could unravel it."

Detection

Yurei immediately spots severalminor enchantments on shields, armor, and a few weapons (like the knight's lance), but nothing beyond what he might expect. Until he turns his attention to the aura of the knight himself, and then things become more cryptic and cloudy.

OOC: Spellcraft check, please adding any applicable modifiers for charms, psychic-type spells, and extraplanar effects)

Sir Pavel Hikaru, Yurei's Detection

The knight is without question, according to you and your avian associate, under a geas and/or a curse of some sort here, but the exact nature of it/them (whether arcane, divine, or both) and what effect(s) it/they may have is/are not immediately evident.

Yurei steps aside with any party members not otherwise engaged with the knight and quietly shares his findings. "Perhaps some of his retinue might be able to tell us where he's been and if they've noticed any change in him and if so when."
