Rider

"You're actually the first today, and for a few weeks for that matter. I'm making my way slowly but surely to the northeast, as I miss my homeland of Ket. Really, though, I thought I would have been recognizing more landmarks by now. Very strange...."

BTW, Ket is NOT to the northeast from here.

"Alas, I have not the stake to back up such a wager in the event of a loss. Prudence, therefore, forbids my indulgence in such a venture. I assume you know Prudence? She can be quite the shrew at times!"

"All too well." He says with a smile.

He chooses the masterwork lance. "This one then.Shall we be on to this now? I am getting hungry, and if you are a good enough sport, I can share some rations."

Rider

"That sounds most agreeable. Shall we set to, then?"

Both horsemen take their places at opposite ends of the list. Let's each roll an attack and 2d6 for nonlethal damage, unless you decide to break form and do lethal damage that is....

1st pass [nonlethal] (1d20+11=17, 2d6+4=15)

The knight doesn't manage to land a solid blow, and his lance skates off Johann's pauldron -- smarts like the very devil, though!

Johann lowers his visor and urges Diego into a charge

ooc: no lethal! so a lance is bab + ?

if straight bab: 1d20+10=20, 2d6=6

Possible modifiers:
charge: +2 att -2 def [a/c 28 during charge] << --- this would apply
non-lethal W/ lethal weapon -4 att << --- this would apply
strength +4 << ---I think this would apply, so: 22 attack; 18 NL damage; A/C 28; HP: 77/77
or
dex +2

by the way, a lance does 2d8 from horse back.
2d8=14

And now for the next tilt to speed things along .. .. ..

1d20+12=18, 2d8+4=11

Johann turns Diego around and goes for another charge, the dust and dirt clods churned up in the trail behind them

edit: edit

ps, unless i say otherwise, this will remain non lethal.

The Tilt

Johann makes the first pass and wallops the knight severely. His lance doesn't shiver to bits, but it does groan in protest. When Johann turns and prepares to make another pass, he sees the unhorsed knight sitting in his saddle on the grass ahead, facing him, his horse being pursued by his groom.

OOC: I figured lance was +2 or +3 proficiency bonus, so I faked it and said +2, +4 for str, and so forth.

ooc: the second pass is not necessary I guess!

Raising his visor once again, he looks to the he-horsed knight and asks with a cough to suppress a chuckle, " 'ahem' Do you concede?"

Eldran nods grimly in satisfaction... not only that the Kettite was unhorsed, but also at seeing two professionals at work. He still keeps quiet, as he is still wondering who this man is, who does not know Ket is to the north west.
