"I am not asking to be . . . . .ah, never mind. Any idea how deep the water is?"

The Stream

The water does not seem to be too awfully deep. Average depth of perhaps five and a half feet right here, places as shallow as five feet and as deep as seven or eight feet. Complicating that is the horribly uneven bottom which seems to be randomly littered with holes up to six feet across or more and about three or four feet deep.

"Anyone have any fishing gear? Or something you can cobble into a passable equivalent? A wise man checks to see what's biting before going for a swim."

 

[Scott DeWar]

"Huh, Well, uh, I just use my bow and Arrow to go fishing."

 

[Leif]

OOC: Rations are survival gear, aren't they? As such, you can probably come up with four hooks and 16 feet of [possibly questionable] line between all of you.

Ero, who's been gazing about but plainly not really seeing his surroundings and absent-mindedly slapping his mischievous tail away from his gear, suddenly perks up. "Wha . . . Oh, we need to get across the stream? Hang on a moment, I've got just the thing."

The wiry little Tiefling unslings his pack and once more brings out his traveling alchemists kit. Quickly sorting through the assortment of vials, beakers, and burners, he takes out a couple of jars of powder, pinches just a bit of each into a beaker, and then pops the top from a tube of gray liquid. He pours a bit of this into the powder and swirls it 'round as his tail is tugging the waterskin from his backpack. The tail brings the skin around and tips it, filling the beaker just about three quarters full. Ero corks the beaker and shakes it violently, sets it aside and packs up his kit. Once everything is stowed neatly once more, he takes up the beaker and pulls a bit of green leaf from one of the pouches on his bandolier. He crushes the leaf and drops it into the mixture.

"I find a bit of spearmint takes the edge off the bitterness, and makes it quite a pleasant little drink! Now, if each of you will take a swallow, this will grant you the ability to cling to the walls just like a spider . . . we should easily have enough time to go up the walls and across the ceiling before the effect wears off!"

He takes a swallow and passes the bottle to Yurei.​
