I do understand, but I mentioned it because there were other players in the group who didn't appreciate their characters being NPC'd like that. DeWar however evidently doesn't have any problem with anyone taking over his character! ( :D ) [/sblock]

OOC: don't get any ideas.

Underdark-Quest :The Vault of Larin Karr, Spider's Lair

Thanks to Kerlan's quick thinking and mage hand spell, and some timely assistance from the other wizards and Simeon, the two web-encased oblong, roughly humanoid-sized objects are trimmed free from the webs and safely lowered to the cave floor. Slicing into the webbing covering one of them reveals it to indeed be the body of an Orc. A search of the body reveals 17 gp, 6 sp, and 12 cp, and a pearl earring worth 180 gp. The other is the body of an Acquatic Elf dressed in armor made of a shell-like substance and coral and wearing a flowing, seaweed-like robes over the armor. On this body are found a total of 175 shell-shaped gold pieces, and 85 platinum pieces, likewise shell-shaped. The relative condition of the two bodies seems to indicate that they were sparate kills altogether, the Orc's body being much more "ripe" than the Elf's body, which is actually quite fresh.

Heh, heh, heh, oh it's much too late for that, I'm afraid!

An aquatic elf in the Underdark? Well this seems odd to me. Kerlan casts Detect Magic and scans the two bodies and the area.
OOC: Are there any identifying marks? Any other possessions? Does the armor look at all valuable?

Underdark-Quest :The Vault of Larin Karr, Spider's Lair

OOC: What sort of identifying marks are you looking for, you're going to have to be more specific, please?

The armor does radiate substantial magic, somewhat but not overly. Nothing else is there that you identify as useful or interesting. It's difficult to assess the armor's value. You suspect that would depend greatly upon to whom you tried to sell it. You do recollect a collection at Whirtlestaff's of odd and archaic magical armors, and it would look right at home there. Perhaps it might fetch a higher price as a museum piece rather than as a martial accoutrement. You might be able to trade it to Whirtlestaff's for spells, tuition, or other item(s) more readily than a sale for hard currency. [Of course, good students would just donate it to their alma mater outright! ]

OOC: You know, anything with writing, a crest on the armor maybe. Stuff like that.
Kerlan focuses his magic on the armor in an attempt to Identify it. After he is done he begins removing the armor and places the two bodies in separate areas, building a carn for them out of the plentiful stones nearby. He accepts any help offered. Nothing elaborate. Just enough to cover them.
They were not as lucky as we were.

Now that you look at it more closely, what you had taken to be just elaborate swirls and carving seems almost as if it might be a very elaborate Elvish "Y" Rune.

Manny pitches in with the cairn-building. Properly respectful. And it might keep the Underdark vermin from being attracted to the place, and thus off our trail.
