Let's play CALVINBALL!!

I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring, so to speak. Anybody have any good Mutants and Masterminds NPCs? Has anybody convereted characters from Planetary to Mutants and Masterminds?

Macbeth! You did not follow the rules! No mention of Eric, Morrus, or Piratecat, nor of the previous poster's avatar! Oh well, I guess that's just the kind of arrogance one would expect from someone with a Black Mage avatar :)

Edit: Sorry Macbeth, I just reread this and realized how rude it is. Please accept my apology.

John Q. Mayhem, you forgot the first rule of this game - it must be on topic for the forum it's in. We're in the d20 Modern and OGL Games forum.

I heard d20 Modern was Henry's favorite game.

BTW, is your avatar a pic of the Necronomicon?

Edit: This is actually in response to the post before M.M.'s, but I type too slow.

I plead my case before Morrus: I did mention the previous posters avatar, which is a hat. Check out the first sentence of my post.

And, just since I want to stay in the rules, I'll mention your avatar: ^&*$

(I really don't know what that avatar is, but in the language of my people, ^&*$ is how you write it.)

Don't worry about it my Black Mage avatar'ed friend. If Henry were here I bet he'd smack John down for invoking rules and breaking them in the same post. Sorta like saying your character Filbert the Great can survive standing in front of a bazooka because the weapon *only* does 3d6 and Filbert has 90 hp.

The d20 Farscape game wasn't bad either. I know it was the most fun I ever had running a 1st level game, mostly because character creation made for some fairly competent 1st level characters.

The sore points for me was that it ended up as a one shot product (thanks SCIFI) and that the errata seemed more to be something to appease the "but that's not the way it should be done" crowd than fixing any oversights. I know that I ran it for months and never had any problems with things that had to be "fixed."

I was doing nothing [avatar] the other day
so on the advice of Morrus [name drop]
I played in a little game called d20 Modern;
the DM tried not to bore us.

I played the Fast Hero, a Greek man of dubious
background and associations;
skilled in the art of slinking and creeping,
I thwarted enemy machinations.

The pace was quick, the action incredibly wild
one shocked player sat, lips pursed.
And from now on we shall have to include
in our posts: poorly rhymed verse.
