D&D 5E Level 20 Class Competition Ideas

As for guessing if the the opponent is strength base or not, it is easy. Heavy armor give you a pretty good idea. Especially if wearing plate...

As for disapearing, no, spell at the ready, no hide action taken. Just an interaction which you have one free (sometimes more, bur that is DM fiat). Again, it is the PHB. I can tell you in private if you want to.

If allowed a familliar and a simulacrum, the figth is even more ridiculously in favor of the diviner. If multiple simulacrums are allowed, up to the 20,000 gold pieces limit, then the fight is really one sided in favor of the diviner.

Not against 100 coualt dispeling and counterspelling.

They will never get to act. Keep dreaming.
Impossible, they are 100 and can counterspell as a reaction.
Nothing that they can do is useful against it.
Also, The Divine Soul and his Simulacrum can stay forever on ethealness with Extended Spell for 16h.
Action to reapper and quicken a spell

Good lucky.

They never get to act. They can't even counter spell. You are not even in the etheral. Stop dreaming. You are simply dead.

If you can precast 3 Simulacrum, Why the sorcerer can't stay on Etherealness?

Look, they are Coualt and can use Change Shape to get counterspell as innate spellcasting.

Counterflux Blastseeker, humanoid CR 2.

Innate Spellcasting.

Good lucky.

Who cares what a couatl can do? They or you never get the chance to act. You can only suffer the spell cast at you. If allowed, unlimited couatl, the the same goes for simulacrum. Limit should be at one maximum. I am with Dnd4vr on that one.

And remember, you can't counter what you can't see or that is out of range.

Keep on dreaming my friend. And by the way, it is not that I absolutely want the diviner to win that I say that. I would love nothing more than be proven wrong. All your tactics were tried and they all failed. The one time the diviner lost, was when all his (and his only one simulacrum, we had already ruled on that one) portent rolls were low and he had rolled low on the initiative.

You are expeding golds and time to cast 3 simulacruns, why the sorcerer can't spend golds and time to control 100 Coualt?

You can use your WISH spell on combate to get one, but you must expend your action on battle. I agreed with one.

.
People is overrating the Diviner
But, the Divine Soul Sorcerer wreck them pretty easily even in a completely unfavorable situation:

I will demonstrate how the Diviner is useless against the Divine Soul Sorcerer.

3d20 with portent.

We will give the diviner full advantage on the battlefield

.

1) Let's assume the average. 5, 10 and 15 on Portent.

2) The Wizard is out of reach for Subtle Spell and not too far for Distant Spell to dominate the game.

3) The Wizard used portent to force the Divine Soul Sorcerer to lose the initiative, expeding the lower dice portent. The Wizard acts

4) What will the Wizard do?

Still must be in range though.
Nothing more than 60ft is useful against them.
The Sorcerer and his Simulacrum are on Etherealness. You are fighting 100 Coualt there with fly speed 90ft, lul. A dispell and It's over for your 3 simulacruns.
Out of range, the Coualt also can change shape to get fireball as Innate Spellcasting.
Well 100 fireballs at 150ft.

PS:I'll make it clear, this to me is ridiculous and theoretical and will never be played. So, no preparation time is the best way.
