Right, sorry about that.Yes, I agree. That is exactly what I just said.

I’d use the term Templar, making it explicit that they are Knights of the Temple (ie Divine) persuasion who get empowered by Holy Orders.I sincerely feel "Herald" is a terrible name for Paladins. When I think of Herald I think of either:
1) Page Boy Haircuts, Tights, and a Trumpet. Generally wearing Silks and smelling of Perfumes.
2) A middle aged man getting yelled at by his wife. "Harold!"
That said, the Paladins of Charlemagne's Court are hardly accurate to the character concept we know and love/loathe (depending on the person).
I would propose "Justicar". It's a word that has very little day to day meaning to most people and it's original definition is a representative and warrior for a Ruler or King. Give their devotion over to a higher power and Justicar makes a significantly better name than Herald in all respects.
Given both the incredibly negative connotations of the word "Templar" in history -and- it's use as common jargon by modern hate groups I think it's best to take "Templar" out behind the woodshed, never to be seen again.I’d use the term Templar, making it explicit that they are Knights of the Temple (ie Divine) persuasion who get empowered by Holy Orders.
(of course that could apply to Clerics too)
as to Fighter, I‘m okay with the term being retained, it is pretty much a generic label for people who specialise in combat above all else.
Wizard could be changed to Mage![]()

This may be evolving into something not for me. I was hoping for just an expansion onto the current system. Although this system over all has many great phenomenal ideas. Many of which I hope make it into 6E. Very great work on this.
I -love- Mercedes Lackey.I think of Valdemar!
You sold me. I will order some of her books. Always looking for a good author.I -love- Mercedes Lackey.
Also I used to play City of Heroes with her, which was crazy 'cause I didn't find out who she was 'til years down the line and I was all "You wrote Magic's Pawn, and I love that series! It helped me externalize and conceptualize my own issues with gender and sexuality!" and she was like "I'm glad it helped you!" and I was like "Wanna go fight Council on Striga Isle with me? Got a fun RP Team going." and then we did that thing.
Great person. Deserves -way- more credit for her writing. And more money. Writers generally need to get paid more, but Mercedes Lackey should be getting millions dropped into her account for her work.
My mom's a huge fan. She stored her books in my room when I was a kid, and as a teenager I read tons of them. I assume she's written many more since then. I should look into them.Great person.
