Leveling up your mount

Lizard Lips

First Post
One of my players rolled up a 1st level halfling and wanted a good-aligned worg as his mount. I said "no, but you can have a wolf with the same stats as a riding dog and overtime I'll let you 'level-up' your mout until it has the stats of a good-aligned worg"

I thought I had seen a paladin presitge class that let you do that, but now I can't find it. Where should I be looking?

Look to the Wild Cohort feat. Do a search on the WotC DnD site.
Ditto.

Wild Cohort is a neat way to handle that special pet that ain't quite an animal companion/special mount.

If you *do* want an animal companion-level beast, then tell the player to maximize Handle Animal, take Skill Focus (Handle Animal) then take levels in beastmaster. A single level of Beastmaster + Nature Bond feat = 7th-level equivalent animal companion.
