LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

Einstein concentrates and disappears.
[sblock] Dim door to appear at 105n70e, assuming he can still target such a specific location while blind. He loses the true strike. [/sblock]

Einstein[sblock]That is not a problem. You saw the layout of the arena when you entered.[/sblock]Meineke[sblock]You can see Einstein hiding on the ground north of the flaming wall of thorns. You see part of his body at 80E.[/sblock]

Round 120

Einstein does not dodge the line of force (natural 1 Ref save) and takes 94 points of force damage. Einstein is dead.

The bats swarm Meineke, do no damage, then disappear.

Next in round 120 for Chaotic Evil is a Melniirkumaukrekon the adult red dragon (Draconomicon).

Melniirkumaukrekon[sblock]You recognize your opponent as a radiant dragon that is older than juvenile. You know its dragon traits, that it is immune to light effects, and that it has DR that can be bypassed by magical weaponry.[/sblock]Meineke[sblock]You can use your breath weapon next round. You know nothing about your opponent, except that it looks like a dragon, so you could infer its dragon traits.[/sblock]

The CE general sends a lieutenant out to the home plate umpire to contest Meineke's action. Granted, behind the thorns was the most logical place, but there seemed to be little question in his movement and none in the targetting. What have I misunderstood? Can you see through the burning bushes?

Note that the outcome doesn't change as it will be simple for Meineke to see him, but I'm wondering what I missed such that I don't make the same tactical error again.

OOC1: The best angle would be 25n85e to 110n75e. I don't see how that doesn't go through the thorns. Were you thinking Einstein is huge or something?

A huge red dragon flies ungainly into the arena to 65n50e40z, heading west. Incredible muscles ripple under the bloodred scales. Yellowed teeth shine malevolently in a rictus grin as Mel opens his mouth wide to unleash a fiery hell upon his adversay. A violent windstorm accompanies the flames, trying to push even the gargantuan dragon out of the arena.

OOC2: Gargantuan is "huge" while flying. Windstorm=checked. While airborne, check=blow back 1d6x5ft. Roll a 3 or higher? That'll teach Meineke not to fly so close to the edge.

Meineke is not affected by the wind (30 Fort save) and dodges the flames (32 Ref save), but still takes 32 points of fire damage. Meineke has 373 HP remaining.

Melniirkumaukrekon[sblock]After taking into account both feats that affect when you can use breath weapon again, you can use breath weapon in round 123.[/sblock]
