LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

Arggh! 1 minute is too long. It's already a slim chance of success.

St. Stephen will try to draw OP's wrath away from Sonja. He will cast an attack spell on Optimus Prime by hitting him with power word stun. That will, of course, have no effect, but let me know what Optimus Prime's reaction will be.

In analyzing this situation, I realized that OP would exude a frightful presence towards Sonja after his attack, causing her to run instead of attacking OP back, triggering an AoO from OP.

Does that sound kosher to you?

OK, OP is still at full hp.

He bites Sonja as she leaves (rolled 59+2-10) for 26+12-10. Sonja is dying at -9 hp.

St. Stephen's turn in round 190.

Because it is Sonja's turn when she is bitten and she had not acted yet, I believe there is a 90% chance she loses a hit point, which would drop her to -10 and dead.

Didn't she act by running away and triggering the AoO?

The AoO is resolved, be careful about the paradox that occurs if you say it happens before (in time). Otherwise, she would not have moved yet and thus not provoke, etc. It would also make counterspelling impossible.

So, what you are proposing is that she acted, provoked an AoO, and then by mere fact of being unconcious she has her next turn: "On the next turn after a character is reduced to between -1 and -9 hit points and on all subsequent turns, roll d% to see whether the dying character becomes stable." If the point at which she provokes the AoO is the next turn, then it's not this turn is it? She can't get two turns per round, thus it's not next turn yet.

That is not the exact language in the 3.5 PHB - is that statement coming from the SRD?

Edit: I found it in the SRD, but I can understand why PJSlavner interpreted it differently based on the language in the PHB.

St. Stephen's turn in round 190. Sonja has not died yet.

It's identical to the language found in the 3.5 PH, page 145, bottom right, under Stable Characters and Recovery. Word for word, the whole section.

Round 190 for real this time
St. Stephen walks to 85n40e and readies to cast mass cure moderate wounds defensively on Sonja and Omega Supreme after Optimus Prime acts. Don't forget SR rolls for both of them. If he fails, he will say so out loud so anyone else may act on her behalf.

OP needs an action given that his opponent is down. Would he finish her off? The "attack closest creature" was for 189 I think, but quite frankly I'd like to see that come up this time (assuming of course an unconscious doesn't count as one of the choices).

PS. My apologies to CE for the confusion, pun intended. ;)
