Because even with the 5ft-step, there was 20ft between them. Claws on a Gargantuan dragon have only a 15ft reach.

Of course, I may have screwed up positioning, so if there was 15ft . . .

A large, snakelike, green and black dragon appears at 85N60E. SS reaches into the Astral Plane, and draws out a large glob of ectoplasmic goo, which he throws at Optimus Prime.

OP is too big for some tiny glob to have any effect. Is that the best it can do?

OP is not too big. The errata states that any size creature can be affected. The goo has been augmented.

Sadly, it probably is the best SS can do in the first round.

Optimus Prime looks extremely irritated. He also breathes a line of force on SS and then flies sluggishly to land at 80n55e40z, wondering if he can wipe of this goo or when it will wear off.
