Is there a worse spell for a dragon to have besides flame arrow? How many dragons use longbows?

Maybe if the dragon is in humanoid form and does not want to give away that it is a dragon?

And how would a fireball give anything more away than flame arrow?

It's still a very bad choice for a dragon. I'm betting they were thinking 3e instead of 3.5e -- big difference in the spell.

Flame arrow is for your humanoid allies. It is a much better spell than fireball in the long run. I know, because Gansk's wizard always uses it on the party's ammunition.

MacEther dodges (34 Ref save), and also avoids some of the cold due to being gone part of the time, taking 13 points of cold damage. Salla can breathe next round. MacEther has 350 HP.
