What books, movies, and television shows have been turned into games? I am especially interested in d20 games, but I am looking for a good list of notable games regardless...

Yep, there's a lot of 'em. It's a big list!

Doctor Who: Adventures in Time & Space (and an earlier FASA RPG)

The One Ring (and a dozen other LotR PRGs)

We ourselves are adapting Mike Resnick's novel Santiago: A Myth of the Far Future.

MWP has done various TV shows - Smallville, Leverage, Firefly

Thieves World have been done twice, once by TSR and last time by Green Ronin.
Diablo I & II by TSR/WotC
Babylon 5, Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, Starship Troopers, Mouseguard...

It almost would be better to ask about a book or show and have someone tell you if it has been done.

Which version of Battlestar Galactica was made into a game, the 1980s or the remake? I LOVE Caprica, it would make a great setting for a campaign. We have quite a list, anymore out there? And how many of these are d20 compatible?

It is the new one and was done by Margaret Weis using the first generation Cortex system. If memory serves correctly B5 and Farscape are d20 compatible, maybe Starship Troopers though it's been awhile so not sure. The rest are other systems.
