LIch

I need help setting up human who will become lich. I have 32 point buy. I was thinking about being a gish.

I want the character to have wings. I do not want to get the dragon wing graft unless I really have to. I did think think about giving the character wing creature template but that will not work since it turns my character into a monstrous humanoid.

Okay, I think we need some more information. Is your character a cleric or a wizard or something else? Are you starting at level 1? And what books can you use?

If you're looking for wings, you could just cast Fly and describe the spell effect as having wings. Or you can cast Visage of the Deity if you're a divine caster. (Improved) Dragon Wings would give you flight options as well but that requires a heavy feat investment.

I am starting at 1st level with all of the books allowed. I want to be wizard. I have being think the ability to control undead would nice so I can have an army of undead. How well does a gish lich work? I know I am going to become Spellstitched. What do you think of me taking the Contagious Paralysis feat as a lich?

If you want an army of undead, Pale Master would work for you. 1/Day Animate Dead as a SLA. So if you've got the corpses and the patience you'll have your army.

The big thing with being a gish is that you're going to lose spell casting and there aren't many classes that synergize between necromancy and martial might. The Death Knight template from MM2 might be better suited if that's what you're looking for. Also, Dread Necromancer 20 turns you into a lich so that's another option.

If you're starting at level 1 you can't outright dump constitution but you don't want to spend too many points in it since it's going to go to a score of -. Otherwise Int then dex. If you're going to prestige make sure you don't wind up needing Charisma for special abilities.

Contagious Paralysis is a weird feat. First off, you're not going to be able to snag it until Level 12 at the earliest. Also, remove paralysis has a range of close. So it's unlikely that your foes are going to be touching each other unless they're beating a hasty retreat. All in all, it strikes me as something that was written for the DM more than a PC.

How does this sound as my attributes? Str 12, Dex 12, Con 10, Int 17, Wis 14, Cha 11

What would be some PrC I show consider looking into?

I'd probably do Str 8, Dex 16, Con 10, Int 17, Wis 10, Cha 13(?). Not sure on Charisma. Maybe drop the int a bit and raise cha. All of your lich's special abilities and attack DC's are charisma based. I'm sure there is someone else on the board that can give you a much better idea on distributing your stats. :)

As for PrC's, it's a tricky thing. You need at least CL 11 to become a lich. And you get a +4 level adjustment once you become a lich. I'm a big fan of Pale Master in Libris Mortis. If your character is particularly religious, and worships Wee Jas, you can go with Ordained Champion(?) from Complete Champion. Though there's nothing wrong with just going straight wizard either.

Binder 1/Erudite 5/Anima Mage 10/ArchPsion 4
Or
Erudite 5/Shadow Mind 4/Grim Psion 10/Mindbender 1

Grim Psion turns you into an undead, so it might be redundant. Binder/Erudite combined with anima mage and archpsion basically makes you into a virtual powerhouse of Action Breaking. Time becomes your plaything and so do the spirits of THAT WHICH SHOULD NOT BE. So, be a master of going first, second, third, eighth, and finally restart the day if things didn't go your way.

Check out the Erudite handbook for suggestions.

6/10 ML advancement
Undeath at level 1.
You need to be 7th level before entry.

You gain better HD every few levels d12 at 10th.

Honestly woundn't take it past 6th. You get immunity to turning, 4/- DR, 4/6 ML, +2 to int, wis, cha and AC, you can dump con because you lose it when you gain undead status at 1st level.

And then you can make a claim that if you go Lich, you don't have as high a Level adjustment, because you're already undead.
