News:

  • Goblins now have "goblin cunning" that gives them a bonus action to disengage (maybe other uses). Interesting how it makes the goblins almost like 0-level Rogues (except Rogues don't get cunning action until 2nd level, but never mind). I really hope they change Hobgoblins too, since the Disciplined action doesn't actually do anything. Maybe a sort of limited action surge or second wind? Maybe a sort of limited barbarian rage or reckless attack for orcs?
  • Disengage now doesn't let you move as part of the action; it just makes you immune to opportunity attacks during your normal movement that turn.
  • Though SotSC doesn't have them, hex maps will be standard for adventures where they expect you to use the hex crawl rules (thank goodness!).
  • You have disadvantage on ranged attacks if you're engaged in melee.
  • Possible optional rule DM-side for morale checks.
  • Mike's warlock could disguise self at-will.

I thought the session was fun and had a good mix of roleplay, exploration and combat as they discussed plans in Daggerford before going to Julkoun and as sway a goblin sentry and assulted a camp nearby.
