Living Fantasy Review (TLG, Gygax)

Troll Lord

First Post
Hallo enworlders!

d20 Magazin Rack has posted a review of Gary Gygax's Living Fantasy over on their website. Take some time, stop by, and check it out. Staff reviewer Bruce Boughner has hit the key points of this very useful book. On a personal note I think that Living Fantasy is Gary finest work, filled to the brim with useful information for any and all who are running, playing in or designing a quasi-medieval fantasy game (which would be just about all of us :D ).

You can see it here:

or if that doesn't work, go to our homepage at

Have a great day.

yes indeed

Living Fantasy is one of the strongest books out there I think. Ggyax outdid himself. A thoroughly enjoyable read by the by.

While I'm at it, another review went up today or yesterday on RPG.net. The author found the book very much to his liking. You can read it here:

Now, the next book (after Names at any rate) will be announced soon. It is written by Dan Cross and a very extraordinary text! It is called "Gary Gygax's Insidiea: The Brainstormers Guide to Adventures" (it may be tweeked in the coming days). You'll be able to read more in the next day or so.

Joe B, wow, I'm pleased to hear that. I know you guys come out with products that cover a similar area with your "magical medieval" series. Could you let me know what parts you really liked?

Hallo

Unbeknownst to Davis (as he replied to this post in another thread) the reprint of World Builder is under way. The material that Davis is talking about is being contemplated for a World Builder II. If your interested in the particulars, read on, if not skip to the last paragraph. lol

The delay is caused not by this extra material but the printing of the book itself. We had it scheduled for a limited print run, but after my announcement in January we had several distributors holler at us wanting to put in orders, which made us reverse our stance and order a larger printing. As we are trying to keep the series with a similar look we need to use the same printer. That printer was working on Book of Names and then Encounters. World Builder, once at the head of the line, got bumped.

Which is all well and good as Dan Cross wanted to do some corrections any way. So the World Builder is being sent over to Dan Cross for a few final comments (he's correcting the gold standard that we mis-typed, and cleaning up some of the reference notes).

It should be at the printer around teh first week of April.

I hope that helps and thanks for listening! ;) And thanks all for the kind comments on Living Fantasy. This is perhaps Gygax's best work.
