What is the difference between the LGG and the D&D Gazatter?

Which one should I buy?

I have older greyhawk materials, but nothing 3e. I still rely on the 83 boxed set, actually.

I'd go with the LGG, then, as it has more information regarding the history, geography, and politics of GH, just as the '83 boxed set did.

LGG is a really great book, it's just full of information, plot hook, little ideas, and has a great map.

D&D Gazzetter is a REALLY stripped down version of the same. My mother always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all so, I won't tell you about it. It does have one thing going for it that people tend to bring up. It's alot cheaper.

Buy the LGG

What's that supposed to mean? That I don't understand nonsense when it's posted? And what are you, Gene's lapdog? His post had nothing to do with the question that was asked. I'd wager it had nothing to do with anything.

Børk børk børk!" in another thread? :p
