Living Greyhawk Journals...

Hi

I am after Information on anything and everything to do
with the Living Greyhawk Journals...

I just recently recieved my first issue of Dragon Magazine
and was very impressed with the Greyhawk info in the Magazine...

Now i know that the RPGA produced 5 Journals? Is this correct?
and there was a journal called #0 which had information
on the Circle of Eight (Mordenkainen and friends and thier stats)

But which issue of Dragon was the first after the last Journal from the RPGA?

I want to try and hunt them all down...Is this possible?
I especially want LGJ #0 but i hear this is now out of print :(

How would i got about trying to find a copy?

All help would be much appreciated...

Some of the issues are (were?) available from the RPGA. Don't know if they're still available or not, buy you might want to check the WotC online store.

Issue #0 is not available in this manner.

Issue #5 has not appeared yet. Last we heard, it was at WotC, with various departments bickering over who would have to pay for printing it.

To sum up:
There are 6 "stand alone" Living Greyhawk Journals (sort of; see last item).
Issue #0 you might get on ebay (or, more likely, photocopy a friend's)
Issues 1-4 might be available at the online store.
Issues 6+ are in Dragon Magazine.
And
There is no #5 (at least that the public has seen).

Thanks for clearing it up for me (a bit ) ;)

[Issues 6+ are in Dragon Magazine]

So which issue of Dragon did the Living Greyhawk start with?

Dragon #292?

I need to know this as well :)

Dragon #290 (Dec 2001) contained Living Greyhawk Journal #6. That was the first combined issue.

That particular issue of LGJ concentrates on Death Knights (5 out of 10 pages) and concept art (3 out of 10 pages), so it's not as useful for Player Characters as some of the other issues.

If only someone could do the evil deed and scan them and send them to those of us requesting them... I myself wouldn't mind having those that came before they appeared in Dragon.

I know for a fact that you can buy back issues from the rpga. They're cheep too. check the wizards site.

If i was living in the states i would definately hunt down all the back issues of LGJ and also the Dragons ive missed with the LGJ in them...

UNFORTUNATLY I live in the land down under :(

Postage alone will kill me, let alone the cost of the mags when we convert to our stupid worthless aussie dollar :(

To get all the above i would be up for between $100-$150 dollars AU and that is something i cannot afford to do for some extra reading material on my beloved Greyhawk setting :)

The scanning option is although naughty, probably the way to go, i just got to find people with these mags :)

Now if Wizards got thier act together and let us people that live outside the US buy thier ESD PDF's and actually PDF the material
and sell it to the public i would DEFINALTY buy them...

But i dont think there would be too much of a market for this...

Im sure if they wanted to truly support Living Greyhawk and the RPGA they would give us access to the old Greyhawk Material from past issues at a much more easily and available format...oh well thats economics and capitalism for you :(

Well ive ranted long enough :)

Thanks for the info its good to know at least WHERE to start looking as i was lost in the wilderness before this post :)

Something else Wizards should get thier act together with, I heard they where going to make a Fangdoodly cool website for Living Greyhawk with downloads etc...Im stil waiting for that also
:(

I have to stop this rant NOW ! :)

Why would it cost you 100 AU to get this very thin magzines?
Might i suggest you atleast try to contact the RPGA and ask them send them in one envelope to you? I believe that they cost about 5 dollars a pop. Air mail can't be all that bad.
