LN vs. N: Lawful Neutral Victorious!

Round 393: The temperature around Blitzen is a balmy 62 degrees.

The scorpion charges to 55N10E and misses.

A ten foot tall mushroom with clubbed hands enters the arena at 20N0E. Holmes, thinking of the guard Watson and what Holmes has to always remind him, "You see, Watson, but you do not observe."

If Holmes realizes the scorpion is vermin (thus knowing its vermin traits), it will ready a fist. If not, it will release pacification spores at the scorpion.

Holmes hits with the spores, but it has no effect.

Round 398:

The scorpion charges to 35N10E and claws Holmes for 14, pulling him into its square. Holmes has 23 hp left.

Holmes will keep clubbing twice until it is dead.

(Why did Lawful Neutral get stuck with these stupid myconids? Were LN last in line when they were handing out plant creatures?) :\

(Rack up another winner from the MM II!)

Holmes misses pathetically. The crowd starts to boo.

Round 399: The scorpion squeezes twice for a total of 41. Holmes' cap pops off and the scorpion enjoys a gooey mushroom feast.

Next up for LN: a formian winged warrior. (FF) It goes next in round 399.

A guard myconid-sized winged ant flies into the arena flies into the arena at 60N and flies up to 60N0E30Z. (In one place, the book says two spikes is a standard action, but in another only one spike is a standard action. Fire spikes if I can fire two this round; otherwise wait a round and fire spikes next round.)

OOC: We'll say one spike as a SA, two spikes with a full round action, 4 spikes total per day.

Round 400:

The scorpion moves to 55N0E.

One spike hits for 3. The scorpion resists the poison. (Rolled natural 20) It has 34 hp left.

The other spike crits for 11! The scorpion resists the poison. (Rolled 27) It has 23 hp left.

Round 401: The scorpion stays where it is, claws turned upward in anticipation.

The next two spikes miss, one of them flying out of the arena.

Round 402: The scorpion's claws are itching to go. The ant flies down to meet a readied attack, which misses, then an AoO, which hits for 14 and grabs on. The ant has 25 hp left. It bites for 6. The scorpion has 17 hp left.

Round 403: The scorpion squeezes twice for 49 total and enjoys another meal.

Next up for LN: an abeil soldier. (MM II) It goes next in round 403 and doesn't know anything about the scorpion beyond watching its destruction.

A large bee-like humanoid buzzes into the arena, flying up to 30N0E30Z. Ape will wait for the scorpion to come down below, and then you may time compress the stormwing attack as long as the scorpion stays in range.

(It might not matter, but what is Ape's special enemy?)
