Vader, fleeing is useless and you know it. Join me! Together we can wipe out the forces of Mechanus!
Brainiac flies forward to 65N60E15Z and manifests a psionic charm on the spectator, augmenting it with 2 power points to affect magical beasts or monstrous humanoids (DC 14 now). I assume Brainiac doesn't know if Vader is an aberration, but he can't manifest that high a level of charm (it would then require 5 points, 1 higher than his level). He'll take a shot at it, though. If he knows Vader is an aberration (I don't know personally), then he would use a cold energy push instead.

Vader tilts his central eye up and fires a ray. Hits! (Rolled 21 touch, beat 50%) Brainiac hears thoughts in his head:
"Your powers are useless against me! Your only chance to show your true worth is to join ME! HoooooooHewwwww HooooooHewwwwww"
Brainiac activates empty mind and achieves a meditative state. No way, no how. (Rolled 22 Will save) He has 17 power points left.
Vader rotates back and flies backward to 65N15E25Z.
The power fizzles, leaving Brainiac with the suspicion that Vader was not a valid target. He has 18 power points left.

He flies after the floating eyeball thing, to 65N40E20Z, and targets him with another psionic charm, this time augmenting it by 4 (DC 15 now), to affect aberrations and pretty much everything else). This costs 5 PP, but with the Overchannel feat* he can do that.

OOC: Technically the DC is d20+5, as we are using the Spell Roll house rule for psionic powers.

Brainiac thinks to himself, Still not a valid target? What the hell is this thing? He follows to 65N20E25Z and blasts him with a mind thrust, augmenting it with +2 power points (for 3d10 damage and D 1d20+4).
OOC: If Brainiac thinks that the charm failed due to SR or a made saving throw, then he will try the charm one more time instead. I got the impression from your wording though that it failed due to invalid target.

Mind thrusts himself? That's never a good thing. What the heck sort of powers does this thing have?
Astonished at the turn of events, Brainiac has little more to do than obtain the draw and get this creature out of the arena before it turns the entire Neutral side to its cause. Fly straight down into the ground and wait it out.
