Log-In Time-outs

I'd once posted about extending the time-limit before the server decides a user is no longer 'active' on the boards (ie: how long between link-clicking), and the time limit was bumped up to what I thought was a more than satisfactory duration.

Unfortunately the board move seems to have not only done away with this 'stretching' of the time limit, the 'new' duration you can go between clicking seems to be nearly non-exsistant. I've tried posting very short replies to threads immediately after logging in, only to be told I'm an Unregistered User, or would I perhaps like to just sign in now?

Could this time limit be bumped, again, please? I can understand being 'bumped off' because I've been typing (and re-typing) a long-winded post/reply, but the current brevity seems a might ridiculous.

AFAIK this was/is a result of the current cookie problem which is also mentioned on the main page (I had the same trouble a while ago, but somehow it went away). It should be over once the board setup is complete.

The only time limit I am aware of that the message board software sets is a minimum time between posts of the same user to avoid excessive spamming.

I could be wrong though, as I am not an expert on these things...

Time-outs...

Is there any way to extend the time-out duration?

Not the minimum time between posts, but the maximum time you have to type?

It's hard on us long-winded types sometimes. :D
