Logic behind sales of "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk"?

I'm not certain what my reaction would be, to "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk", as my campaigns rarely center around urban adventures. A revised LGG would be more than appreciated, however, even if LG uses their one page in the back. ;)

So, will the "new" GH incorporate psionics, incarnum, warlocks, and Tome of Magic?

Ok well I guess coming on here and trying to be honest is a waste of time.

I keep wondering why you WOTC guys keep coming back here since every time one of you shows up it's like the WOTC Hater signal goes up signifying that it's open season on you guys.
I just find it funny that some people wonder why you guys dont show up more often and then when you do they commence with kicking y'all in the junk (verbally, that is).

Personally, I really appreciate when one of you shows up to try and answer questions and let us know what's going on with a product or a project. I would like to say keep it up, but at the same time I know it must frustrating to have to deal with some of the people here who seem intent on calling you a liar for no good reason.

Thank you for spending time here, Scott. We all appreciate it a lot. I was just wondering, because you mentioned that a whole lot of support for Greyhawk has been done through the RPGA, but what about people like me who live in non-RPGA countries (I haven't seen any sign of it, anyway) like Denmark. I'd love to see more books for the setting since I can't join the RPGA. Don't you think there are a lot of people like me who haven't got the opportunity to make use of all the good stuff you publish through the RPGA? I know that Greyhawk gets some support through the generic books, but it still doesn't feel quite like picking up an entire cohesive campaign setting. However, I do like all the settings so far, it's just that Greyhawk seems the least fleshed out to me. Thanks in advance.

What is easy for all of us to forget (especially those of us at WotC) is that for every poster who is intent on flaming and tearing us down, there's probably 10 or 20 who are just lurking and enjoying the information we're providing. So it pays to remind ourselves that we'd be doing those lurkers a real disservice if we let the vocal minority chase us off.

Marginally off-topic heads-up: there is some RPGA play in Scandinavia. Although the main activity seems to be in Finland, I have heard of some groups in Denmark. Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland are assigned the Principality of Naerie in the Living Greyhawk campaign and there are a decent number of adventures written each year by local players - plus of course you can play Core modules and Splintered Suns ones - the latter set all across the remains of the South Kingdom and Iron League. For more information, check out the Naerie Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naerieLG/ or the website: http://www.naerie.net/

And as to Greyhawk sales taking away from FR sales... well...

WotC could sell me GH books. But no FR books. SO they might sell me MORE than they do now. (snip)

Agreed. The calculation isn't as simple as (FR Sales) > (FR + GH Sales), because GH will bring in a number of fans who don't buy any FR material, like me. The net sales for FR may decrease, but the net total sales of FR plus GH may well increase. Of course, then you have that whole (revenue - costs) deal to figure out, but that's WotC's job, not mine :)

And let me officially (on ENWorld's behalf) say "thank you" for that. ;)

From my end, I don't know if I'm going to pick this up or not; with all the settings, and the membership flux going on for our group now, It might be a year or more before I get to use it, despite the fact that I love old Mad Zagyg's castle. Heck, I'm still looking for Gary to keep that original flame alive with his efforts at "the Dark Castle" over in Castles & Crusades, but his and Rob's collaboration unfortunately prematurely ended, making me quite a sad panda.*

We actually just addressed this issue in the RPGA. We anexed a region to collect all the countries that did not have their own LG region. Geoff (which covers a couple states in theeastern US) and it's Triad will now provide it's content to people in countries with no local region so you can start running LG games. You also get access to the gobal modules as well.

In the future it would be a good idea to publish the RPGA modules.
