It's certainly an easy-to-use interface. However, there are two key weaknesses I've seen:
1) The Delve format takes up a huge amount of space, such that what was once a 32-page module may well now be 64 or even 96 pages.
2) The format seems to be quite limiting on the types of encounters that can readily be expressed with it. It handles static self-contained encounters really well, but would appear to have problems with multi-room and conditional encounters (such as when the guards re-arrange their disposition in the dungeon in response to PC incursion). This, of course, may be because the designers have not yet figured out how to do everything they want to do with the format.
