Long-Term duration buffs for a high level cleric?

Also thought of one for a Lawful Evil worshipper of a god of tyranny & slavery - have a minion cleric cast Shield Other upon the high priest as a requirement of moving up in the ranks.
Note that the caster of Shield Other must remain close to the target in order to benefit from the spell.

Thanks - that would be the plan. Now, if said evil high priest had two minions cast Shield Other upon him, would he (the evil high priest) then take no hit point damage and the damage is then split between his two minions?

No, each will take half the damage but he will take the other half, not a good use of the spell:)

Magic Circle vs Good is 10min/lev, and im sure a priest of that level will have 3rd level spells to spare.
hedging out summoned creatures might come in useful and its not going to do any harm.

Taking the Contingency idea a bit further, the evil high priest is thorough enough that he could cast Miracle every 20 days or so to give himself the benefit of a Contingency spell, as it lasts one day per level. Assuming he already has the Pact spells upon himself (Renewal, Stalwart & Death) for emergency healing, condition-relief and death, what other eventualities would you suggest an evil high priest of a deity of slavery & tyranny plan for?

1) Another Heal spell, just in case?
2) Wall of Stone if an Anti-Magic field is nearby?
3) A Greater Dispel Magic to use as a counter spell in case somebody tries to dispel his buffs?
4) A spell to transport him to a safe location?
5) Something else?

This effect could also be achieved by casting unhallow. Unhallow is good for a year and provides a magic circle vs good effect plus another good buff like freedom of movement.

Additionally, forbiddence can block dimensional travel and cause minor damage to PCs entering the area. Also desecrate can buff undead in an area.

With Status the evil cleric can know if any minion was killed or harmed and then reasonably cast 10 minute buffs.

Put Greater Dispel Magic in a (or two) Ring(s) of Counterspelling. Cheaper, and leaves the Contingency for other uses. There was a thread not too long ago debating the use of Contingency to counterspell things; if you do indeed allow it in your game (I would) I'd use it to make a Greater Dispel Magic attempt to counterspell a Disjunction.
