The eladrin feat applying to spells cast through it doesn't really make sense. Its you being trained in combat with a sword, why would that effect damage? Also, this means you could take weapon focus (quarterstaff) and gain bonus to spells cast through a staff implement.

It could effect the damage because from the beginning, following the path of many Eladrin before me, I chose to be trained in the ways of the wizard. It is indeed very common within my race to walk the path of magic, as we are fey creatures. However, we train diligently in the longsword, so much that every single Eladrin of age is capable of wielding one with no difficulties. I do not see how it is against my character's concept to take the Soldier of Eladrin feat with the exact description that I have trained so diligently as I worked to the Path of the Spiral Tower that I turned my proficiency with my racial weapon into making my childhood weapon increase the effectiveness of all my damaging spells.

Another thing, the damage bonus from burning blizzard wouldn't stack with the eladrin ability even if it did apply to spells, they're both feat bonuses.

But of course, and I had no intention of doing so at all. The only reason I mentioned acid and cold were not because of the feat, but because it fit more with the extensive background of my character.

The action point to regain an encounter power becomes fairly useless once you get the Arcane Mastery feat at epic levels.

I think all that the Spiral Tower PP has going for it is the few really accurate powers it has, which is cool, but the other PPs seem to have a more diverse array of abilities.

You are correct, however I am creating a character of 17th level and thinking of how I would have leveled this character from point 1 and feel the Spiral Tower fits best with my character. All the PPs have different abilities, and some of them would definitely prove to be more useful to me, but this is the one I chose and I wanted to see just how useful I could make it.

Remember Swordmage will be out soon!

I can't wait. This has always been my favorite concept, and I'm trying to get it to work for me now. I understand if I can't, just seeing what my options are, and I was a bit confused on whether or not I could utilize some of the features of wielding a sword as an implement.
