Looking for 2nd edition spell information

Hawkeye

First Post
I am looking for some information on a 2nd edition spell that was probably in the 2nd edition Tome of Magic. It was a clerical spell that allowed for the formation of a temporary gate. I have no idea where my copy of book is and I can't find my PDF back ups. Anyone able to help?

Actually I am drawing a full blank at the moment. Some sort of gate spell, maybe? It is a clerical spell. Travel sphere maybe? Math sphere maybe?

That is one lengthy spell, it takes up almost two full columns!!

This spell allows the caster to selectively warp the fabric of space, folding it into a higher dimentsion.

It makes a gate for a one round that allows two way travel between two points on the same plane of existance. There is risk though that anyone traveling through the gate gets aged.

Does that sound like the spell you are after?

I found a 2nd edition spell generator. I think that the spell I am looking for is Dimensional Folding. Do you have the ttext for that one?

"The dimensional folding spell opens a gate that allows instantaneous, bidirectional access to a distant locale on the same plane." 4th level, Numbers sphere, Tome of Magic

I've had a look through The Priest's Compendium's index, and nothing else really fits your description.

Now is there a d20 version?
That sounds a lot like teleportation circle. The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting contains rules for creating magical portals, but uses a feat rather than a spell to do so (p. 61).

Yeah, but portals are a more permanent structure. This only lasts for a minute or so.
