Let me first say, thanks for the responses so far. My post on one of my pocketpc forums has generated ZERO response. Oh well.
As for living in DC? Not just no, no way.
Beyond the fact that I'd have to commute WAAAAY to long, I'd rather stay in the Central Time Zone so Monday Night Football comes on at 8 like God intended.
der_kluge, I did look at the FAA site and while pushing tin does sound interesting, and yes the academy is here in OKC, they won't take anyone over 35 and I turn 36 in September, just before I get out. However, one thing I've learned as a federal employee, everything is waiverable.
Kid Charlemagne - hmmm, I'll try to narrow it down some. I'd love to go back into TV news (what I did before I came in fulltime) but they pay is so lousy. I do have a fairly extensive background in video production and public relations. I've also managed a multi-million dollar program. I guess my best bet would be something in management as I've done that for the last 10 years in one form or another. I'll attach my resume to see if that generates any ideas.

Hmmm... Airport management comes to mind, though I have no clue how good a job that is. O'Hare in Chicago is expanding its runways and adding jobs, but not immediately.
I hear you on the TV news - I worked in video production until just recently, and it's a weird field right now as the low-cost capabilities become easier and cheaper. I didn't have the patience or interest to jump markets until I got to a top-10 market where the pay is good, and I've come to the conclusion that the video production industry as a whole is the worst managed in the world. Much happier out of it.

I've thought about airport management. I guess the smell of jet fuel will always be a bit of an aphrodisiac for me.

I enjoyed my time in Little Rock, but making minimum wage as the Chief Editor at the #1 station in the market with an Arkie in the White House kinda burned me out. I still try to keep my hand in by shooting weddings and the odd little fun production. But I think I'd have to really hustle to maintain my current paycheck doing that, and I do enjoy my gaming time.

Still looking. Not desperate, yet. The wife is on the leading edge of frazzle, but nothing to worry about yet. If I had my way, I'd end up in one of the following locations:
Oklahoma: OKC, Bartlesville, Tulsa
Missouri: St Louis, Kansas City, Joplin, Springfield
Texas: Dallas, Fort Worth
Tennessee: Nashville
But I would not rule out any good lead, regardless of the location. Heck, I might take a contractor job to the sandbox if things don't show promise before too long.
Anyway, I appreciate any and all help anyone can provide. And if I do have to move from OKC, I'll be looking for a new gaming group, too.

Defense Contractors are hiring all over the country especially people with an active TS clearance. I would send your resume to all of the major defense contractors.
Don't worry about what job they want to give you, once you get your foot in the door you can always change jobs later.
Also, I wouldn't worry about location. Its relatively easy to change location once you are inside of a company.
Sell them on your USAF knowledge and experience.

Probably a lot of opportunities in the southwest. Phoenix seems to be growing quite a bit as does Las Vegas. Both have lots of tech companies moving in at astounding rates. Portland is another growing area with possibilities. I would say Washington is not the place you want to be. You left the Air Force to get away from some of that hubbub. Why put yourself into a similar enviroment.
