I have a player that is a monk, buthe only picked that class because that is the closest he could get to a ninga. If anybody has any info on a ninga prestige class or normal class please let me know

"ninga" is a little-known spelling for "ninja" in some far-off nether region.

Try the Rokugan Campaign Setting. I know there is a Ninja core class in there, as well as some martial-arts oriented prestige classes.

There is a ninja core class in the book Complete Adventurer. Whether he'll like it or not or whether he'll want to pick it over a monk are different questions

I hated the Ninja from Complete Adventurer. I like some of their abilities, but I think "Sudden Strike" should just be "Sneak Attack" as Ninja would often fight team-battles against their foes when 1 quick hit wouldn't do.

There's one for 3.0--Ninja of the Crescent Moon, I think is the name.

3.0 ~

Ninja Spy (OA)
Ninja of the Cresent (Sword and Fist)
Ninja base class (Rokugan)

3.5 ~
Ninja base class (Complete Adventurer)

Both ~
Assassin (dmg)
Shadow Dancer (dmg)

Personally, a Monk/Rogue makes for the best "ninja"....
