Looking for parchment images to type on.

Aurumvorax has the right idea.

Go to your local newspaper publisher and ask for a roll or two of the end of run paper stock. (It's what's left on the roll after they've printed their daily, weekly or whatever run that they can't use. Usually they just throw it out, but if you ask they usually give it to you. Usually people do this before they move to wrap dishes in.)

Apply A's tea bag, coffee ground technique - boom very large rolls of instant parchment that is MUCH cheaper than buying it at Staples or Office Depot. Also it makes great maps (no worries about size issues) and if you use acid free markers and calligraphy pens can get a great look.

If you want to print the map, message first you can also let the ink dry completely (usually 24 - 48 hours) - soak the paper in lemon juice for a second of two and then bake at 350F for about 10 minutes - it yellows and become brittle (instant aging the more you soak and the longer you bake the older and more brittle (can get to where it falls apart so go short first and figure your times accordingly - you can always bake again, you can't always start over)). You can complete the look by taking a lighter or burner on your stove and singeing the edges.

Hope this helps.
