Hi there. I've just started DMing a 4e game, and we're two sessions in so far. The player characters are from a tribe that relies on weird totem poles to keep their lands green, but unfortunately their power sources (referred to by the tribals as "Technologies"- light-bulb looking crystals) have started to fail.
The party has just come across their first settlement: a village called Durumhold which deals in scrap metal. They need to get to a city far to the south to continue their search for technologies, so I'm looking for a couple more PCs to join them. These can be people working for the Tribe's elder, sent ahead to scout out a path through the desert. So far we have an elf rogue, a human warlord, and a human cleric (on hiatus for a few weeks). Ideally I'd like a couple more tribals to join, but you could also play a city-born character who came to be friends with them.
On to the mechanics:
Tuesdays, 8pm EST (this is midnight GMT, and we play about 4 or 5 hours)
4th level
Any alignment (so long as you sympathise with the goal of getting more Technologies)
22 point buy
Standard PHB species plus Orcs
680gp (known in the game as "Holdbucks", or just take residuum)
1 level 5 magic item, 1 level 4 magic item, 1 level 3 magic item
We use a program called maptool which keeps track of the map and tokens and dice and everything, and you can pick it up here (this is the right version, any other won't be compatible):
