Looking for some character advice

Mechancially poor. You loose 4 caster levels from the Sorcerer in exchange for 2 feats, some HP, and a few skills. Your IC and Bardic Knowledge aren't much at level 20.

If you want to heal, just cross-class one rank in UMD, buy a Circlet of Persuasion, and rely on your natural charisma score to activate wands.

Or be a Paladin/Sorcerer (battle?) etc and Lay on Hands/UMD heals.

Agreed, Bard splash does not yield high dividends. I was simply checking I had understood the posters intent with his suggestion.

I have a creation requiremnt that says I must be able to *cast* some healing. Wands won't do.

I most likely will be a Paladin/Sorc if I don't find a build that I find appealing AND meets my (in all honesty, fairly lax) criteria.

Cheers,
-John

You can add Cure spells to your spell list if you take the Arcane Disciple feat. You'll want some Wisdom to actually cast the spell, though, which means MAD.

Why won't wands do?

The Bard suggestion was more about storytelling- as a part of the PCs background as an ingenue AND the resource of Bardic Knowledge- and that its spells would still function with the Heritage feats- a Paladin's Divine spells won't.

I have no idea what Int untface's PC will be, and didn't make any suggestions about it.

My PC didn't have a high Int because it didn't fit the PC to have a high Int- the original guy was supposed to be an idiot who had command by virtue of his status as a son of a noble, and the one I played was kind of a big, dumb jock.

Neither of which bears on how this PC's stats should be distributed.

But since the question has been raised, were I building that Ftr/Bard/(Bttl)Sorc, I'd probably emphasize Cha and the other mental stats, and prioritize Dex over all the other physical stats. The PC would wear medium armor (max, because that's about the most you could expect to wear with Battle Caster and not experience ASF) and emphasize ranged and finesseable weapons.

Cloistered Cleric (Cleric variant from Unearthed Arcana) + Contemplative (PrC from Complete Divine) = Knowledgeable Prophet who isn't too strong in melee but has plenty of spellpower to compensate.

I second Danny's suggestion to multi-class with Warlock (allows you to wear light armor and free energy blasts ALL DAY; 3 levels for a 2d6 or even 5 for a 3d6 uber should do it).

IDHTBIFOM, so if someone more cleverer can put that example together (if it's even possible), please do. :)
