D&D 4E Looks like the 4E DM Screen is pushed to August

I got an email this afternoon from amazon, that my preorder for the 4E Dm Screen has been pushed to an August 19th release. I think its odd that it is coming out 2 months after the core books. What do you think?

The 3.0 one came out in December, so August isn't so bad...

I still use my 2e Planescape DM screen for my 3e games, so I'd have to go with 'I don't give a flamin' tiefling when it comes out.

...Sorry about the snarkiness, but is a current DM screen really that important to you? Besides, if 4e is as simple as R&D says it'll be you might not even need the cheats on the back of the screen.

Well... Star Wars Saga Edition book come out this summer. Screen is comming next summer or so... 2 months is very soon, I guess.

My guess is they also may have pushed it back to coincide with a little gaming convention held right about that time in the Midwest.

I don't think that the DM's screen is such an important release... it probably got delayed because of production issues.

PHB: May to June
DMG: July to June.

Anything else delayed or changed? Every indication is that they are going all out to meet their deadlines. Wonder if they might not.

We wanted to up the quality over past D&D DM screens making it similar to what Green Ronin put out for the True 20 GM screen and this required us to move our release date to allow for production.
