Lost 5-19-05

Still wishing her to get eaten, frankly. Cannot stand her....and the fact that Fox is currently courting the actress to play Kitty Pryde in the next X-men movie? Just one more reason not to like Shannon. ;)

I'm with you on that, Dru. I know I don't like the character, and haven't since her first whiney appearance, and I can't decide if it's how she's written or how she's acted. I think it's 50/50. If she were played with more integrity, she'd be at least a vibrant, compelling spoiled bitch. But she's kind of a limp dishrag, and I just wouldn't care if she got 'et by a polar bear.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed about that.

And, I feel only pity (and a bit of shame) for those who didn't immediately think that Arzt is a "Red Shirt". Though I hope I'm proven wrong, because it seemed rather (painfully) obvious to me that's what he was...

I don't think anything in this show is "obvious." :)

It does if you become an "Other" after being "infected", which Danielle ALSO mentioned to Sayid!...

Well, if the "Others" are infected, perhaps the French woman has become infected. We don't know how people become infected but she had one nasty scratch on her arm. Wouldn't surprise me if she's an "Other" now.

As a matter of fact I'm pulling for her to get eaten by a polar bear. :D

Didn't get to watch the episode but read the synopsis on ABC's site and read everything here. I am disappointed I didn't get to see the homage to Star Wars between Jin and Michael (quoted here by Rel). I would have laughed my butt off!

I don't think Arzt is a redshirt or an Other. Eliminate one main character, another comes up from the ranks.

Danielle's scratch certainly looked like it is from an animal. Like a bear. Or a human.

Maybe its the " Black Roc"?

If you pause right when they show the ship, you can clearly see that it says Black Rock on the stern of the ship.

I didn't see the name on the ship, and if it's there then I'm a bit bummed. It shouldn't be called the "Black Rock" at all but rather the "Rocher Noir" as Danielle originally called it in her recorded message. Why would she have seen a ship with an english name and then translated into french when recording her message? Proper names aren't usually translated like that.

Anyways, didn't she tell Hurley that the transmission tower with the recorded message was right next to the black rock? I'd expect to see it next episode.

After watching the Lost recap show again Saturday night, I found out that Jack himself had a claw-like scratch on him at the beginning of the season, which looked VERY similar to Danielle's.

Probably just a coincidence, though.
