Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

Xandren opens the door to the left. It appears to be the quarters of Eliza. A freshly made bed is bolted to the wooden floor. A small table, is nearby. A sturdy metal box is on the floor. Patterns and designs on the are on the box. On the cover of the box there is writing, it says, "d'Lyrandar". A metal bar hangs between the walls in the corner. Several dresses and gowns hang here.

Hesh opens the door to the right. Inside a bed is found, the sheets in disarray. A table stands on one side of the room, a map above it. Hesh is bewildered at the borders and names on the map. Small pins are on the map, stuck every few inches. A chest is on the floor at the foot of the bed.

Stellan watches without reaction as the goblin whispers something to the larger creature. I have no reason to lack confidence, he says honestly. I don't know your intentions yet, and you just mentioned that I helped you with a problem. Besides, you seem wise enough not to replace one problem with another if it can be helped.

The hobgoblin in the spiked armor steps forward. "You can't flatter me you fool! That damned prophet of yours can't stop us. If it wasn't for him, the world you know wouldn't even exist!"
 

Stellan stands his ground, meeting the hobgoblin's gaze. What prophet? I know of no prophet, and I don't know anyone trying to stop whatever it is you're doing. I awoke here yesterday, having no idea how I got here. Shrugging, the shifter slowly shakes his head. I don't know who you are, or what you're after, but at the moment I have no reason to stand in your way.
 

The hobgoblin blinks twice in confusion. "You don't know yet why you've been brought here?" The warrior smiles grimly, "You won't get a chance to find out either...Take them both! Leave the girl alive, you know the plans!"

The two armored hobgoblins standing beside their leader move forward. They avoid the reach of the shifter as they come to stand behind him, flanking Eliza. Two other goblins move forward, hefting their javelins. They stop short and heave their weapons at Stellan. The goblin's movement give them the advantage. One of the weapon's sticks into the shifter's hip. The other hits him in the chest, puncturing a lung.


[sblock=ooc]Two hobgoblin double move forward, avoiding Stellan to flank Eliza. Two goblins move forward, stopping short and throw javs at Stellan. Stellan takes two hits, one a crit(21 and nat 20 to hit). 23 damage to Stellan. Sorry Redclaw. I'll let you retroactively spend a healing surge from swimming out into the coral if you wish. Otherwise the stats below are accurate.[/sblock]

Inside the ship, Xandren and Hesh open up the rooms. As they look around, they hear a cry from outside. They turn just in time to see Thormir burn a dismembered arm to a crisp. The arm twitches twice and then is still.

Map notes:
The 2 squares(one of which Xandren is in) with the angled lines is the doorways to the cabins/messhall. The bordered area(that Hesh is standing in) is actually the wheel of the boat atop the raised area of the ship(thus he is actually directly below it). The two squares spread about the deck(such as I11,I12) are actually stairs that lead at the areas above the main deck(difficult terrain to ascend). The 3 black squares at the middle of the ship are the masts and provide cover to those on the other side. The bordered area @ E15, E16 are the stairs(that are currently covered by a grating) that lead below decks.

Growling with rage, Stellan lets his animalistic nature burst forth. He feels his teeth lengthen and his heartbeat quicken. With a quick glare over his shoulder at the two hobgoblins he steps toward one of the goblins and takes two mighty swipes at it.

[sblock=ooc] No worries, Evo. I figured Stellan was likely to die on this beach, but he'll go down swinging. :)

Minor Action: Longtooth Shifting
Free Action: Mark both hobgobs
Move Action: Shift to T16
Standard Action: Wildblood Fury vs. U15, hits AC 13 for 19 damage, second attack vs. U15, hits AC 16 for 15 damage.

Action Point: Second Wind, bringing Stellan to 9 hp, and +2 to all defenses until next turn. [/sblock]

May we have a bit of discription of what we're facing down, how their armed et c., it helps to make a more informed decision. :)

I'm guessing skeletons and zombies, but I've not a clue what "C" is.

The dead on the ship move slightly. Several of corpses twitch in response to unknown forces. Atop the two decks, the very flesh rots and falls off, leaving only bones of skeletons. Finally, as sick smell of burning flesh fades from the arm that Thormir blasted, many more of the limbs begin to move on their own

Xandren slices one of the skeletons hear him with his fullblade, sighing.

"Undead. Just as I expected. Watch out for any sprouting eyestalks."
