Lost - "Left Behind" - 04/04/07 (Spoilers)

Great episode, I thought.

Nice tie-in on the flashbacks, on two different levels - Sawyer and Cassidy, and Sawyer giving the money from the prison episode to the baby that might have been his.

Back in the real world, Hurley conned Sawyer into being nice. How cool is that! :D

Where the the Others go? Sheesh. This island is huge.

Hopefully we'll get some answers next week, and the preview wasn't a misdirection/tease.

Blast your eyes dravot, you beat me to it this week. I liked this episode better than I did last weeks.

I was not surprised by
Juliet having a key
, but the shoulder thing was an interesting twist. Further, I do not put much stock in Juliet assertion they do not
know what the smoke monster is and cannot control it.
I think that is also part of the ruse.

Presumably, the Others went to the smaller island when they fled the Village as part of some bizarre and unnecessarily complicated scheme. Their behavior, presumably under the leadership of Benry, is becoming more erratic. Benry goes to extraordinary lengths to control people for the sake of controlling them.

The chick fight was fun, but then chick fights that end up in mud at some point are almost always fun.

Left Behind
Wednesday, April 4 at 10/9c

Kate is left to fend for herself in the jungle with Juliet. Meanwhile, Hurley warns Sawyer that he faces banishment if he doesn't change his selfish ways. With Evangeline Lilly as Kate Austen and Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet Burke.

I figure the Others went back to where they had the cages on the other island. Afterall, they burned the Losties sailboat, didn't they? It's not like they can get back there.

I'm wondering why Jack, Kate, and Sayyid don't just bring the rest of the survivors to the Others' village....at least they'd have running water, food, electricity etc. Sure, the Others could come back....but really, if they *really* want to hurt the survivors, they know exactly where they live, and it wouldn't really be that difficult to attack their beach camp.

I missed the first 10 minutes....have they said what happened to Locke?

Is it just me, or is the show starting to turn around? Seems like there's a lot more going on in the last, say, 6-7 episodes or whatever since the break, than there was in the first half of the season. I was getting pretty frustrated for a while there, but at least now it's starting to feel like some things are happening.

He had a scene with Kate where, based on some unclear dialog, it appears he is joining the Dark Side. And by that i mean he is becoming a Sith, not joining the Others. Really, the dialog was odd.

Kidding. For the moment it appears he wandered off with the Others.

Locke visited Kate in the lounge/jail where they'd been keeping her. He said that he'd spoken on her behalf to the others, telling them that she was a good, loyal and trustworthy person, but that in turn they'd told him all about her past and what she'd done. He then told her that he'd decided to go with them, told her goodbye and left; all while ignoring her pleas to know what was happening and why he was joining them.

And the Others are that much better than Kate...:)

The hypocrosy of those people never ceases to amaze me..

What was the light flashes with the smoke and why did it appear to drive the it away. This was new, I thought. Why, split the group up? The only mind game being played is on Kate, once an other, always an Other. Claire, watch your baby!

The others move on, guess what I would be doing. Yep, moving in, get off that beach and squat. They have a pool table! Okay, so, there is that whole crossing the line issue but you know what, I would risk it.

Flashback was interesting but you know what, so what, everyone knows Kevin Bacon, we know that, why?

Hugo and Sawyer, priceless.

Excellent ep, as usual. We learned lots and got a cool look at the smoke monster.

Next week's looks fun. I love Sayid. They don't focus on him nearly enough.

Very interesting how they played up the Sawyer As Leader thing just as Jake is coming back. It will be interesting to see how much fire Jack has in his belly and if he still wants to act as a leader after getting the rug pulled out from under him by Locke.

I'm assuming there's an overt motivation for Locke leaving (probably has to do with his father being there), and a covert motivation for his leaving (he's working on some kind of inside angle to help his friends the Losties). He's leaving his friends in the dark so they can't reveal his secret plans even under torture or after brainwashing or whatever.
