And speaking of bad theories/predictions, another longstanding one of mine seemed to go out the window last night. Since season 1 I've been expecting some sort of large-scale slaughter of the no-name Flight 815 survivors...probably by the Others. I thought it might happen last night at the hands of the newcomers, but it looked like the no-names were fairly evenly-split in following Jack or following Locke.

New theory! Maybe a big slaughter is coming soon. The first time Hurley got institutionalized was because he felt responsible for the deaths that resulted from the balcony collapse (23 people on a balcony built to accommodate 8). I'm thinking he's back there because his insistence upon following Charlie's last words may have resulted in more people following Locke (and eventually dying as a result).

Nah, I think Jin is dead meat. Sun maybe. Claire, probably not though (since she and the baby would make two between them, and the producers aren't going to go killing a baby, which actually suggests strongly that the Locke-followers are still alive).

I'm voting for Sayid, Sawyer, and (hm.....) BEN!

Wow...great episode.

I'm still freaking out about Jacob's apparently mobile shack. And what's with Jack's dad in the rocking chair? And apparently the face that popped up was Desmond.

Creepy.

(See here and here for stillframe evidence)

I was put off by the introduction of "flash-forwards" in last season's finale, but after watching this season's premiere I believe they may work out pretty well after all.

After last night's episode, I'm wondering (suspecting) that maybe that will be the way this season (short as it sadly is) will play out- with FF's instead of flashbacks. Could be interesting.

Naomi: "Tell my sister that I love her."
Her sister...that would be...Cindy the stewardess! I base this conclusion on three things:

I don't know. It doesn't seem likely to me- for one thing, for all Naomi knows, Cindy's dead. She's not with the other survivors, after all. So it wouldn't really make sense, to me, for her to ask whatsisface to tell her "as far as she knows dead" sister to tell her she loves her.

I'm sure the sister bit will come into play later on, though. With all the coincidental relationships, she's probably someone we've seen before, through flashbacks (although, again, given this season's apparent theme, possibly we'll see her in a flash-forward; liked that Ana Lucia bit, by the way.)

I don't think Locke would leave or even allow himself to be dragged away from the island at this point. I think that if/when the Six go back, they'll find Locke still there fighting to protect the island.

From comments made by Hurley, mysterious black guy, and Charlie/Monster/Jacob (my theory), I got the impression that there are still people left on the island, and that only 6 left. Of those six, we know of Jack, Hurley, and Kate- I suspect Kate's husband(?) or whoever she mentioned in the finale last season is another. Plus there's dead guy that no one but Jack came to see. So that's five.

I suspect that John and many(?) others are still on the Island, and Hurley is the only one who knows where they are (his comment to Jack about "telling"), and that Jack and Hurley are going to go back and help them, and quite likely end up staying on the island by the end of the series.

"Sign says- STAY AWAY FOOLS!"

It's the Love Shack.

Good catch on the Desmond one, I was wondering about that, and it does seem likely. As for what seems to be Jack's dad- we have seen what is apparently Jacob appearing as other people (some dead) for quite some time now. Usually before he sics the Monster on them (and I'm thinking at this point that the Monster is not who/what has been appearing as other people in the past, like some theories have suggested, but that it was Jacob all along.)

I liked the showing of the prior episode the night before with the sub titles, and this new one.

My new theory is that the people on the island are clones of people in the regular world (hence problems with natural reproduction). We assume it is a flash forward, but I am not sure I believe that anymore. It could be a simultaneous viewing of the real people and their clones on the island. A mirror image, or as implied by the title of last seasons finale, through the looking glass.

Well, I haven't seen the reports myself, but I was told that Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) was arrested on Drunk Driving charges. It has been denied, but evidence points to this being a death sentance for Lost characters.

I agree with you about Sayid (want's to find Nadia) and Sawyer (would leave to be with Kate. Ben is iffy though. 1) It only makes sense if the island/jacob totaly rejets him, which looks to be very possible, but I think even then he would stay and try to 'redeem' himself. I don't think he would leave of his own choice. 2) It was the Oceanic Six. Ben was not a passanger so he doesn't qualify for membership.

Claire is a strong possibility. Infants that young may not be counted in a case like this. Also, he was not 'technically' a passanger of flight 815 either, as he was not yet born.

That would be it.

He's the latest Lost actor to be charged with drunk driving – Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez were busted on DUI charges in 2005.
Cynthia played Libby and Michelle, of course, was Ana Lucia.

Hopefully the fact that he's an 'original' will help keep him around. At the same time... Now that we know the baby is his... I could see him being written out. :/
