LOTR RPG Update

We're all 100% confident that someone else-a fan-will do one. We don't think this is a bad thing, we're counting on it.
Looks like you'll get quite a few fan volunteers. I'll probably do my own translation too.

Well, I've gotta pick up the game first! :) Which I'm planning on doing, but I'm not really a fast reader of gamebooks.

I don't know that I'm going to try and convert the entire CODA system into d20. For my money, I'd guess that many D&D classes (or better yet, Wheel of Time classes like I used in my story hour back when it was still running) work fine for Middle-earth. Converting the magic system into d20 would be the really useful thing, I think. Especially since a lot of D&D players are always on the look-out for a new magic system they can try.

Although I would like to convert d20 into a level-less system, just for the times that I don't like levels. It sounds like the CODA system has a fairly elegant way to doing no levels. The Green Ronin superhero d20 game coming out is supposed to do this as well, so I'm interested in seeing how they pull it off.

Oh, I wasn't planning on converting the whole thing! Just the magic system -- or parts of it.

Some variation of Fighter, Rogue, and Expert will work for almost anyone. Then you need to find a way to work magic in.
