It's either Boston or Providence for me. I hope they come out with more info on what cities will do this as December gets closer.

FFfffwweeerrtt !!

Thats sounds totally cool, 11+ hours of LotR. But I doubt they will do that in the UK, and if they did, it would only be screened in the largest cities, eg. London. But I think that the RotK is being released at the same time in the UK, so I'll just have to get up early and watch Fellowship and Towers and then go see the Return later on that same day. Not quite as cool as a Movie Theater but it will suffice. Anyone know when the Extended Two Towers Video/DVD is being released ? Cheers !!:)

Don't think it will happen here. :(

Opens on the 26th for us.

It was filmed a couple of thousand kilometers from you and you have to wait extra time? When does it open in NZ?

If they do show it in the UK, I'd bet on London, Birmingham and Edinburgh (maybe Glasgow instead, but Edinburgh has an anuual film festival, so it would make sense).

Sweet. Now the trick is to get some time off work.... :)
Really? When do you ever take off your bells? :p

I'm hoping at least one theater in Hawaii get picked for that limited market release. Now all I need is the medication to control my bladder for 6 hours. :p

But if it's not possible, then I'll make do with the DVDs.

IMDb lists 2 dates.

1st December and 18th December.

Go during the credits of each movie.

The page in question mentions that the movies will start at 3 pm, 7 pm, and 11 pm.That's 4 hours per movie, with the running times being roughly 3 hours for each. That's plenty of time for a potty break and getting more munchies.

You forget this is all about the extended versions in the theater, so that's at least an extra half hour for both FoTR and tTT.
