I don't know if it will help but over on the greenronin forums there is a conversion guide for monsters from 3rd edition to M&M by Steve Kenson. I'll try and find the link but I can't reach the forums at the moment.

Two (so far) productive fans. We'll see how this goes, but the early drafts are looking great. Excellent artwork and the creatures (everything aboleth to goblins) are in the style of the full character write-ups in found in the M&M rulebook. I think it will be an excellent product.

Neat. Would it be possible to see a sample conversion? I'd be particularly interested in, say, a giant eagle or giant owl.
