[M&M2E] Freedom League Unlimited (OOC)

Please don't change this to Moderate Vulnerability, either (which would be worth the 3 pp you'd get back). We're going to have enough problems dealing with you if you get Mind Controlled, and you're already the most tempting target with a +5 Will save and the highest damage/Toughness in the party :)

Maybe Arsenal and/or Pink Lightning will need to take a page from Batman and figure out how to make synthetic Not-Kryptonite, just to be on the safe side.

Have you considered perhaps changing a bit of your int focus to some leadership stuff? I mean, you are a Captain America in a battlesuit if I remember correct, so it would fit?

I didnt move into that bc Mark Chance's guy has that as his shtick, at least Tactics/Master Plan. Inspire and leadership are charaisma based, require buying HP, and are all around very expensive, and a non-high int battleseuit is kinda weird.

Made a few adjustments to SG. She now has Interpose. Gave her a couple of drawbacks (vulnerability to magic and vulnerability to mental effects). The remaining points went into a limited superspeed (made speed an alternate power of flight, added a few ranks of quickness). She's not meant to be a speedster at all, but she is better than ordinary humans. Also added a couple of power complications since I don't feel that they could be drawbacks in their own right.

ack! :-S
This is not how I imagined our time working on sheets to fill out roles would go!

You made a character that I picked for it's sheer simplicity and have been gradually making it more complex and now added some vulnerabilities that probably aren't going to happen every other adventure. Thats a bit more then adding some interpose.

I also do not mean to be harsh, but the complications are taking the homage a bit too far into camp for me and strangleholding any plot stuff I had in mind for your mysterious alien past.

This is to everyone

This isnt the time to be point crunching just for the sake of point crunching or getting a couple new powers for the hell of it. It is slowing down the process and draining me of energy rechecking characters over and over again.

This leads me to a question for Mark.

Your participation level in this part of the process so far is basically nil. I realize real life sucks and takes priority. But I have to consider if this is indicitive of how your posting rate will be in-game.

Can you quell these fears of mine?

I kind of feel that the new Pink Lightning really deeply cuts into my niche, with very high int, jack of all trades, and quickness on the checks. In a group with a lot of specialization, other than the computers skill, I don't think max has anything he's best at anymore.

Okay then what niches do each of you want to claim then?

In the sci/tech field Arsenal only seemed to be really good at computers and only modestly good at other stuff and then was a bit scattered with other specialities (gather info, diplomacy, sense motive)

I apologize, I had not looked that way at it. I have simplified SG once again, removed the quickness, drawbacks, complications, etc. She now focuses solely on being the living meatshield and heavy lifter/hitter of the group, with only flight as the power that she has that does not fit into the strong/tough concept. I hope you'll approve of that.

As for roles in the group, I guess SG is designed to take punishment and deal out punishment (if she can hit). She's the one who usually puts herself between the Big Bad Beam of Evil Destruction (TM) and the rest of the group.

Unfortunately MM is pretty bad at dividing up smartness, since high int and JOAT is so popular. It was really the wide skill stuff that he was trying for (knowing a decent bit about a whole lot, tohugh maybe some more specialty in mechanical) with a high int and the ability to take 20, but now that I think of it, especially if I can have tactical, it could be OK with just having computers, still having broad knowledge on many things due to Well-Informed + High GI + Take 20, and then take a few points off int, the points I was going to spend on gadgets, the point from survival, and buy tactics/master plan and some more cappy things like move-by-attack and either trickish things or leaderish things. I'll look at what I can do there later. Without tactical its a bit shakier though. I really need time to think about it.

That isn't quite what I had in mind and doesn't really prevent me from having to overhaul the super-senses version I already have in my computer. ;)

Everything in moderation as they say. How about simply adding Interpose and a +1 vulnerability to magic to that version and calling it good?

Can you post your version? I kinda edited directly.

----------Background---------
Wendy never had a clue that she was not a Human. Sure, she had heard the stories how she was adopted by her parents and how she was originally found in some cornfield, but it was never really that interesting. Well, she had about the same interest in this as she had in books and schoolwork, which means absolutely nothing. And after her father died when she was 4, her mother never really had the time to talk much more about it anyway, since she had to work two jobs to sustain the family.

When she hit puberty her strength developed rapidly, far more rapidly than anyone else in her class, I mean, there's not many 13 year old girls capable of lifting cars above their head as if it was nothing. At first she was mostly planning on using her newly-found powers for her own benefit, but after one of her friends got brutally assaulted, the girl decided to use her gifts to help her friends.

At first she was mostly embarrassed for being different from the other girls, which was why she used an alias when they asked for her name, but eventually she realized the danger her family would be in if her identity was ever revealed. Her quickly adapted disguises eventually were replaced with an actual costume and a more established identity, that of Supreme Girl.

Supreme Girl has been active as a heroine for about 6 years in New York, but has been more of a local celebrity, rather than one to win worldwide fame. She never finished high school, but instead ended up doing the various odd jobs that someone with her education (or lack of education) could handle. The last few years she has been a salesperson of various things.

When Captain Thunder and Lady Liberty approached and offered her to become part of the Freedom League, she instantly accepted. She has now moved to Freedom City and has with the recommendation from previous jobs, found one as a salesperson of car accessories, a job where her attractive looks makes her well-suited for convincing men (the primary customers) to buy completely unnecessary accessories for their cars.
