"I don't see any fissures or anything. These bunkers were built to last. It should be okay. Oh wait."

She took one more look...

«Assuming all is well:

Seif nodded: "Let's rejoin the others."

OOC: Which he does, in the lead if Deezy will let him. Still looking for something to go horribly, horribly wrong. :) Notice +10.
OOC: JK: Yes, the only egress we know of goes through the chamber with the aether blower and the lock you guys came through.

"There's some kind of sensor on the aether blower," he warns. "I'd stick to the wall, and let me know before you enter and I can stabilize the temp to avoid detection that way."

Brian moves back to the door into the aether blower's room, keeping his eyes peeled for the other two, using his abilities as he did before to help avoid any heat-sensing traps.

Deezy looks over the machinery and concludes that the generators and pumps will last for at least a day, however they are in severe need of lubricant and some maintenance work.

Eventually, Deezy and Seif made their way to the inner'bunker's airlock. As they stand within the airlock they can hear Silverstone's voice on the intercom speaker, "The Aether concentration has dropped 20% from their initial reading."

"Let us know when it doesn't go down anymore," answered Seif on the lock's intercom.

Then he paused and looked - really looked - at where they were. Four chambers. Each with their own doors... "Klatta, this is going to slow them down too much. Can the doors be opened all at once?" He himself peered at this particular control panel, but his usual trial-and-error method didn't seem called for here. Not with an expert present.

<Response Deezy?>

OOC: Seif will of course make sure both their suits are feeding them oxygen before stepping through the locks.

"Lemme take a look," she said, and scooted over next to Seif to get a look at the controls. A moment later she was tapping away at the keypad, then breaking out her weird little whirring device, then going back to the keys as the device projected little numbers and symbols into the air over it. After a second or two, she started humming a merry little tune as she worked.

"Don't open them now," cautioned her companion. "Too much aether still in there." Explaining things was the least likeable part of the job, frankly, but it unfortunately had to be done (Featherston-Smythe had once humorously remarked that he was probably paid by the silence. A dark smile: Not making much pay today then).

He then proceeded to go through the remaining locks.

OOC: What does the inner-bunker look like, Relique? Seif is particularly interested in the path the survivors will have to come through, from the lower bunker to the lock. How large is it in terms of persons at a time? Any obstructions? How close to the aether blower does that path take them? etc, etc.
OOC: Does Aether really look just like smoke or is there a way to tell them apart?

OOC: Aether is greenish iridescent smoke.

"Lemme take a look,"
From the appearance of the locking mechanism, in order to keep all of the doors open, you will need to throw each of the airlock door override levers into an open position as you pass through them. Deezy theorizes that the mechanism is set up so that once each of the doors are open, the act of throwing one of the levers into a "closed" position and then closing both doors in the same chamber will force all of the doors to close.

The first room of the inner bunker is T shaped and is featureless save for a the markings on the wall that point out the directions to the lower level, the entrance/exit and the lower level. The T's arms are about 20ft and 25ft wide and about 60ft long and 30ft deep, with an arched ceiling that is about 12ft in height. This main room/corridor is connected to several other smaller side rooms.

The blower is positioned so that it is directly in front of the airlock with a 2 1/2 ft gap between the door and the edge of sensor's range. Luckily, because of the size of the corridor/room the only area you really have to worry about is the choke point near the entrance.

The only things that could be considered to be an obstruction are the dead bodies that are scattered through the room. However, most of them are positioned along the walls (as if they were executed).

Each room of the airlock appears to be able to hold up to about a dozen people, and two people can squeeze into it at a time.
