[M&M2e] Red Sands Chronicles

"Mega crawler," IDied Seif from the description. "Transportation guild." He leaned out and shouted into his running camel's open radio. "Are they coming this way?"

«Assuming so:
"Wait." councils Seif. "Hide and let it go past."

"Definitely coming this way, but slow," Deezy says. "We can outrun it. I don't think we can hide the whole caravan though. Besides, they've probably seen us already."

[sblock=What Deezy Knows]
There are not many different kinds of mega crawlers. Most of the original mega crawlers seem to have been originally been built for construction, while others (like the one heading towards the caravan) may have been built act as large mobile platforms. Many mega crawlers that ceased to function are abandoned (and often stripped or their electronics) while others are converted into buildings or used as part of a settlement (because to their generators).

Could be one of ours... Aeaxeos states calmly and jumps down from the crawler to walk next to Deezy and her machine. Though I doubt it. There shouldn't be any out here.

The desert man's features tightened, before he carefully breathed out: "If they have seen us, then it is too late: they will warn the fliers and the road is useless to us. If they have not seen us, or if they do not wish us harm, then moving is a mistake." In his experience, city dwellers saw very little that was not rushing down to kill them... and sometimes not even then. His hand sliced the air, though none but a few nearby 'union brothers' could see the gesture, "Stay. Wait. Be Ready to rush past. That is my advice."

*Clack*. He pulled down on the big winch handle, bringing the dirigeable back down with a climbing whine of coiling cable.

In the time it has taken to release the dirgable and reel it back in, the mega crawler managed to advance about half a mile. At it's current speed it should take the mega crawler about 10 minutes to reach where the caravan is currently stopped.

"What do you mean Seif? Do you have a plan? My abilities generally involve dealing with the living; although I suppose I can do something about that... giant bug." replies The Ottoman

"We could try to talk to them," Deezy suggests, "They might not be enemies. Here, they're in range, I'll just see if I can find their frequency."

She starts searching radio frequencies, looking for traffic that could be attempts to contact them from the crawler. Failing that, she tunes to the Transportation Guild's main frequency and monitors that.
