I think everyone was running into the settlement.

Here's some some more info about the settlement:

Imagine a "american western" styled fort (or even a Spanish styled mission complex).

The entire "settlement" is between 500 to 600 feet in length/width with the majority of it being empty space that is used for the square and what probably could be described as being a series of parade ground or courtyards. Except for three buildings, every building is small and narrow making this settlement seem to be more of a gateway/trade hub for the much larger settlement on the mesa.

The square is literally on the opposite side of the gate, meaning that the crucifix is actually within 150 feet from the bridge.


I'll do the updates in response to your actions tonight.

The beast charges into the square, with Seif balancing himself on the mecha's shoulders. Seif then leaps off the beast and impales a Wasteland Ghost.
Seif: 21 vs 15 --> Hit
DG 1 Tough: 6 vs 21 --> Dead (by Fiat)


The mutant gives out a gurgled scream as it's body is fatally skewed by Seif's sword.

Brian rushes into the settlement as he continues to weaken the crucifix. The crucifix groans a little as it continues to list to the side as large chunks of wood begin to snap off of its side.
Crucifix Toughness: -4

Sahid sneaks into the settlement undetected.


OOC: Yes, the controls to the gate (and pylons) would be in a small gatehouse located next to the gate.

"Drive them out!" shouted the desert man as the Beast came to the end of the square and started to turn around. He slid off his metallic mount and started laying into them.

OOC: Relique, I wasn't planning to have Seif jump off so soon. Was there a reason behind it? Seif can take10 on Ride if that's the sticking point (skill mastery)?

As the ghosts are inevitably riled, Brian turns his attention from the crucifix to clearing them from around it. Permafrost climbs up the form of one of the ghosts surrounding the elevated victim as Brian slips behind a building.

Seif unleashes a devish strike on the wasteland ghosts closest to the railway...
WG 9 Ref 16 vs 16 --> Half Damage
WG 9 Tough: 8 vs 18 --> Staggered, Stunned

... staggering and stunning wasteland ghost 9. Wasteland ghost 10...
WG 10 Ref: 6 vs 16 --> Full Damage
WG 10 Tough: 22 vs 21 ---> No damage

... gets hit several times, to no effect.

Brian flash freezes a Wasteland Ghost...

.. causing a thin layer of frost to form on it's putrid flesh.

OOC: Seeing as VV will be incommunicado until the end of the month, can I suggest this for him?

The undamaged ghost wasn't quick enough to avoid the thrust of Ottoman's gleaming blade though. The man stood still for a moment after his sudden appearance, a trail of mist linking his feet with a much larger cloud now spreading out behind the Beast, framing the huge machine in deadly white...

Deezy marches the Metal Beast forward through the gates, locking weapons onto the creatures near the crucifix...hoping to distract them from the possibility of ending the occupant's life out of spite. The whirling gyrocannon chattered madly, and chunks of metal kicked up red Martian soil all around one of the mutants!

(Gyrocannon on Mutant 7!)

"Has that weapon ever actually hit anything?" inquired Seif from somewhere at her feet. :p

Sahid slashes at ghost 10...
Sahid: 18 vs 16 --> Hit
WG 10 T: 23 vs 21 --> Not damaged
WG 10 F: 19 vs 16 --> Not effected

... and hits but does not seem to affect the Ghost. Sahid then vanishes in a puff of mist.

Deezy fires her gyrocannon at Wasteland Ghost 7, and misses.
Deezy: 9 vs 16 --> Miss

Wasteland Ghost 2 lets out a horrid scream.

Wasteland Ghosts 3 and 4 continue to forage from the ruined banquet tables as they ignore the ongoing combat.

Wasteland Ghosts 5 and 6 growls menacing as they grab some discarded food and begin to stalk towards the center of the plaza.

Wasteland Ghost 7 lets out a howl as it begins to flee.

Wasteland Ghost 8 grabs a broken chunk of the crucifix and tosses it towards the Beast....

Wasteland Ghost 9 is stunned.

Wasteland Ghost 10 searches for Sahid...

The Wastland ghost then throws a rock at Seif..
