[M&M2e] Red Sands Chronicles

"Diluted," judged the veiled one after a while, relaxing his pose somewhat. "If it is true. Wise one?" This directed at the Ottoman, request for an informed opinion.

[sblock=OOC]Yesterday turned out to be even busier than the day before. :p[/sblock]

"Words are plain and useless, judge a man for it's actions, no his words. I have learned that even the greatest of evil can be transformed in good, even the most twisted branch can grow into a straight tree [of course no one here has seen a tree]. I'm the living proof. Perhaps later I can tell you my story, for now, take my opinion as from someone that has seen more sunsets than the stones that make the cities." sentences the Ottoman, with mystery n his voice.

"Uh, guys? The man on the thingy's awake," Deezy points out. "Maybe someone should help him off? Tie up his wounds? I don't know anything about that kind of stuff, or I'd do it."

Brian Shaughnessy

Brian snaps out of the confrontation as Deezy points out the obvious. Assuming Seif doesn't move to attack him, he finishes freeing the man.

"I don't know much about medicine, myself," Brian's forced to admit. "We should get him back to the convoy for help before we finish clearing the settlement."

To the man he asks, "If I help you to your feet and provide support, do you think you can walk?"

"I can try something, let me next to the wounded." Says the Ottoman as he makes his way and kneels before the man. "My arts can kill, but also can heal. However... I have not used them in centuries..." his voice is cut off for the effort. He concentrates on the man, and water from the air humidity begins to concentrate around him, going over the wounded man, and infiltrating in his wounds, filling and repearing damaged cells. A painful process, but the wounds begin to close as the water gets deeper and deeper into the man's flesh.

OOC: If you allow it I'll use a HP to get Heal for my water control array and use it on the man.

Ew.. But yeah, I'll allow it.

Sahid used his powers to heal the crucified man. After the man is then helped to his feet, he made a quick scan of the settlement and frowned. "I fear that my people did not survive the Warlord's attack since those who fled to the bunker while our warrior's fought should have escaped by now."

"We should get him back to the convoy for help before we finish clearing the settlement."

"I will not leave my people, until their spirits are at rest."

Brian Shaughnessy

Brian tries not to show his shock at the water-borne healing, especially in light of his own recent indignation. He's just grateful the man is on his feet again. Brian looks to the others as the man insists he stay.

"We can't let him wander alone through here," he says. "And we're meant to be scouting, anyway, yeah?"

"You assume he has choice." Seif lowered his weapons, "I pray that you are right." His gaze remained hard on the boy.

To the man he asks, "If I help you to your feet and provide support, do you think you can walk?"
"Ask him why he was not eaten," drily suggested the veiled one before walking off towards the gate.

As he walked, a high whistling sound could be heard and shortly thereafter his cyborg camel came trotting into the enclosure, puffing dark gray smoke. With a matter-of-fact flick of the hand, Seif closed the pylons, blocking the town from any further mutant incursions.

[sblock=Question]Can Seif tell how the gate was broken open?[/sblock]
"We can't let him wander alone through here," he says. "And we're meant to be scouting, anyway, yeah?"
"Yes. Who are you?" asked a returning Seif.

<Response crucified man?>

"Who attacked you and when?"

"Ask him why he was not eaten,"

Hearing the comment the man glances at Brian. "He shows such disregard. However, it is a valid question." The man paused as he knelt by one of the slain mutants. "The Shrieking Spirits, that is what my people call them, are scavengers. The rarely attack healthy they say they only pray upon those who are lingering at deaths door are wander into their hunting grounds."

[sblock=The Gate]
The gate appears to have been rammed from the outside and then pulled down into the settlement (most likely with hooks or chains).

"Yes. Who are you?"

"I am Elder Dunesage, tribal chairman of the Galexia people."

"Who attacked you and when?"

"We were attack by Warlord Muro's men. They tricked my people last night with an injured caravan they stole from the Victorians. They said they needed shelter from the Wasteland Raiders, so we gave it to them." Elder Dunesage paused, "This morning, as the Warlord's Marauder's circled outside our walls, the men from the caravan attacked and before we knew it our gates came down.."

OOC: Dun Dun Dun!
