"Access to more machinery?" Sheething his sword, he seized the wheel with both hands and tried steadily increasing pressure towards the left.

"Schmaybe," she replied. "This whole thing sure got complicated for just another 'rescue guys from muties' thing, didn't it? Say, you're pretty good with old-tech. Where'd you learn all that?"

Seif twists the wheel several times until he hears a large metallic click. After hearing the click he pushed forward on the door, causing it to swing open into the airlock's first chamber. Like the lower airlock, the room is featureless except for a communication panel, a series of emergency override levers, an indicator light, and a door. After a slight effort, you pass through the airlock's four chambers and enter into the into the room that has several large machines with iron pipes leading into and out of it.

Sief walks over to the communication panel and sends a message to silverstone. "It is good to hear you made it to the room without any struggle. I will walk you through the steps, but first I will need you to switch on the loud speakers so that I could give you your instructions without having you to run back and forth to one of the rooms communication panels."

After a brief moment, the controls are located, then Seif and Deezy begin their work. They began by turning off the machinery, then disengaging it's power supply. With the machine completely powerless, the two were then instructed to open and close several of the valves on the air pipes that feed into the machine before reengaging it's power supply.

Silverstone then spoke, "This next step is important. Do not fully engage the air pumps until the air blockage inside the bunker is disengaged. If you do, the pressure buildup will damage the system and can potentially destroy the machine." Silverstone paused. "Team two, are you in the generator room?"

"Things break a lot in the desert." Though, as was often the case, he was not sure that was what she had asked... Just then the door clicked and he held up a hand, silencing further conversation for now.

"That was... easy," commented the desert man. Somehow, that single word managed to convey both skepticism, distrust and a strong undercurrent of foreboding. Typical Seif.

OOC: He'll go over the room with a coarse-toothed comb, looking for obvious tampering, traps or ambush. Notice +10.

Meanwhile Seif set about checking his suit once more, in case a tear or a scrape developed somehow -- from rubbing against metal walls or maybe unintended encounters with his sheathed swords. Though he very quickly broke off from his task to give the <I assume> oooh-ing and aaah-ing Deezy a thoughtful, wondering stare..... "Why aren't you scared?"

"Team two, are you in the generator room?"

OOC: See what I did there? :P

OOC: I'm probably missing it, but then, as a player, I'm learning I'm ill-suited for multi-stage tech challenges. I knew there was a reason I stayed away from science in school. :)

Brian sighs. "That's us, then," he says to the ottoman. "We were just waiting to enter. Looks like some kind of laser sensor on the pump, which is probably how the destruct is set off. We'll do our best to avoid..."

Brian opens the final airlock door to move into the room, looking for the vent controls they need while trying to steer clear of the laser sensor. Just to be safe, he reaches out mentally and regularizes the temperature of the air around Sahid and himself in a bid to obscure heat-based sensors that might be in operation.

OOC: Environmental control mixed with infravision to match body and air temp and avoid detection that way. He has +13 Stealth with Hide In Plain Sight. Not sure if that's the appropriate skill vs. a computer, but it's the best I've got. :)

Deezy is indeed looking around, her wide eyes and mouth hanging open visibly through the face shield of her helmet as she gazes at the metal superstructure surrounding her. Then Seif's question penetrates her fierce geek-out and she gives him a puzzled look.

"Afraid of what?" she asks innocently. "This place is awesome. Some of it even still WORKS."

Very short attention span. But then he already knew that.

"Aether. Being mutated." A single rip in their suits, a single seam that wasn't quite what it used to be when they eventually ventured into that nightmare stuff...

<Response Deezy?>

Brian sighs. "That's us, then," he says to the ottoman. "We were just waiting to enter. Looks like some kind of laser sensor on the pump, which is probably how the destruct is set off. We'll do our best to avoid..."
"Remember to seal your suits and turn on your air," advised another voice, very probably Seif's.

"We have suits for that," she reminded him, as if he was being silly. "And then once we're done, there won't be any more problem so..." She shrugged, then looked around, waving a hand through the air.

"It IS kind of funny to think it's all around us and we can't even see it."

OOC: Jkason, you know.. your ideal how the sensor works sounds so much more interesting then what I had thought up. So I'll use it. :D

Brian and Sahid step slowly open then shut the air lock as the step within the inner bunker. As they walk through the aether, Brian begins to concentrate to dissipate the heat generated by the laser's to make his and his companion's passage undetected by the bomb's sensors.

Brian and Sahid are able to see that the walls of bunker are marked with arrows pointing towards various parts of the bunker, allowing them to travel to the generator room within a few brief moments. Upon reaching the generator room, Sahid approached the communication panel to contact Silverstone, who promptly began his instructions.

"Not far from the control panel you will see the main circuit breaker for the innerbunker. I will need to to access it then turn off and disengage all of the ventilation units. While one of you are doing that you can get started on redirecting the airflow." Silverstone began to walk Brian, Sahid, and the elder through their task. As he spoke, Silverstone's voice became increasingly hoarse.

After they finished opening the last of the valves, Silverstone began to cough then in a shaky voice Silverstone continued, "Now, you must open the large valves that feed the main ventilation units.." Silverstone lets out a grunt then deeply inhales before mumbling, ".. restore power to the system then engage... air pump..."

After completing what was asked of him, the Ottoman replies back. "Silverston, do you hear me? Silverston! What's going on on your side?"
