M. Night Shyamalan

Did anyone else catch Sci-Fi's "The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan"?

I wasn't paying full attention, but everytime I looked it was pretty engrossing ... as well as pretty weird/creepy.

If the documenters were to be believed, Shymalan went through a lot of strange experiences as a child, experiences which were strangely mirrored in his films. What do y'all think?

I believe it's been revealed this was a less than factual show, there were some facts, some stuff made up, and it's simply intended to look like a real documentary. Check out:

I saw a bit of it, but it kept going for hours and I lost a bit of interest along the way. I saw the bit with Johnny Depp and Adrian Brody and it was funny. I didn't like the main documentary guy, who seemed like he wanted to be fox mulder, but M. Night was great as a spook in his interviews. Did they get to Bruce Willis? What was the conclusion of the documentary guy?

3 hours, man!!

Half-hour into this "documentary" I started thinking...this has a Blair-Witch-Sorta-Feel to it. My husband & I kept watching it though, and after nearly 2 hours wondered when it would end...I can't believe we spent Sunday night watching a mockumentary on Shyamalan. I love his work & still will after this silliness, but I can't figure out WHY they would do this sort of thing. Does he really think that The Village needed this sort of publicity stunt to be a success? Just seems lame to me.

I have to agree with a previous poster, that although the whole thing seemed cheesy & silly, M. Night was sincere & convincing throughout the 3 hours.

Aw, man...3 hours! I felt compelled to watch because I just figured they would say something at the end like "Hehehehe...we fooled you!" Which they never did, they actually tried to pass it off as fact. The thing that REALLY gets me is that they said it's part fiction, part fact. Well, what was FACT?? I'd love to know...
